Jennifer Lopez is hoping to embrace her Latin roots for her new show

The ‘American Idol’ judge and her husband singer Marc Anthony will travel to 21 countries across the Americas where they will ask local people to help them find “world’s most extraordinary talent” for ‘Q’Viva! The Chosen’.

Jennifer said: “With this show we hope for the first time to unite all of the Latin cultures and make something that makes everybody proud. This is like me being able to really, really go, ‘I am Latina, and this is who we are! Isn’t it fabulous? Isn’t it amazing? Doesn’t it bring tears to your eyes and make you want to dance and smile and jump and stay up all night?’”

The couple will work with tour director Jamie King and according to Jennifer, will travel to “places people wouldn’t normally look, where all of this rich talent lives and wouldn’t normally be discovered,” including clubs, bars, dance studios and festivals.

Marc added they hope to be “literally guided by the [local] people, leaving no stone unturned”.

The people discovered on their travels will be brought to Hollywood, where they will be mentored by the stars to create “the ultimate live show.”

Jennifer explained: “It really is a show for the 21st century. It’s unprecedented in that it’s global and it’s local. We’re going to do our best make the most amazing show that the world has ever seen.”

Cheryl Cole will recover from her US ‘X Factor’ heartbreak by reuniting with Girls Aloud

The British pop star – who was dumped from the judging panel of the pop star search show last week – has decided to put the incident behind her, resurrect the on-hiatus group and focus on arranging a tour with her bandmates Sarah Harding, Nicola Roberts, Kimberley Walsh and Nadine Coyle, according to Cheryl’s former UK ‘X Factor’ co-star Louis Walsh

Speaking exclusively to BANG Showbiz at the Wonderland launch at the Wyld Bar at the W Hotel, London, he said: “I’ve been on the phone to Cheryl all day, honestly I can show you texts, she’s fine. She’s getting back with Girls Aloud in 2012 and they’re going to tour.”

Cheryl’s decision to reunite with Girls Aloud comes after it was revealed she decided not to return to the UK version of the show and both she and the other female judge Dannii Minogue were replaced by Tulisa Contostavlos and Kelly Rowland.

A source said: “She just isn’t in the right state of mind at the moment to go headfirst into a new show.

“She’s all over the place, emotionally she’s very fragile. Starting filming on Wednesday would be far too soon.”

Khloe Kardashian is “freaking out” because she is still not expecting a baby

The 26-year-old star – who is married to basketball star Lamar Odom – has been trying to conceive since soon after they tied the knot in September 2009 and is now worried she has fertility problems that are preventing her from getting pregnant naturally.

In scenes from her reality show ‘Khloe and Lamar’, she told her spouse: “I’m sorry for snapping at you and being on edge lately but I’ve been holding a lot of stuff in and trying not to bother you, but I’ve been freaking out about why I’m not pregnant.

“It’s scary [thinking], ‘Oh God, what if I physically can’t have kids.’ “

The brunette beauty expressed her concerns after her latest a round of fertility tests, but 31-year-old Lamar – who has kids Destiny, 12, and eight-year-old son Lamar Jr. from a previous relationship – was a lot calmer about the situation.

He said: “It’ll work out. If something is wrong, that doesn’t affect anything [we're] going to do [as a couple].”

Despite her comments, Khloe recently insisted she wasn’t worried about not being pregnant yet as she is content to leave her life to fate.

She said: “I’m not desperate to have a baby. Do I want children? Yes. But I’m very happy being just Lamar and I.

“I think a baby would add so much to us, but right now, I’m so content and so happy with the way things are. People think I would sell my hair to have a child.”

Cheryl Cole wants to take a break from the showbiz world

The 27-year-old singer – who was sensationally sacked from the US version of ‘The X Factor’ after working on the show for just two weeks – is now keen to take some time off as she does not intend to return to the UK version of the musical talent programme.

A source said: “Cheryl has admitted she’s not thinking straight right now and everything is a blur.

“She hasn’t stopped working for the past nine years – ever since Girls Aloud started. She’s now looking at this as the perfect opportunity to just stop for a bit and take time out.

“She’s going to sit back, take stock of her career and decide what to do next.”

Cheryl – who is thought to have been replaced on the judging panel, also containing Simon Cowell, L.A. Reid and Paula Abdul, by Nicole Scherzinger – reportedly did not want to return to the UK version of ‘The X Factor’ because she is feeling “fragile” about the sacking.

A source added to The Sun newspaper: “She just isn’t in the right state of mind at the moment to go headfirst into a new show.

“She’s all over the place, emotionally she’s very fragile. Starting filming on Wednesday would be far too soon.”

She has also become “un-contactable” after the event, with TV executives left in the dark about whether or not she wanted a job in the UK.

An insider told the Daily Mail newspaper: “Cheryl will not be returning to the British ‘X Factor’. People have been trying to speak to her and persuade her this would be a good idea, but she’s been un-contactable.

“She hasn’t returned phone calls. And you can’t exactly negotiate with someone who won’t even speak to you.”

Sean Kingston’s Savior — He Was Puking Blood

The guy who heroically jumped into the water to save Sean Kingston says the singer was spitting up blood after his jet ski accident last night — but that Sean was responsive and even spoke during the rescue.

Jonathan Rivera, a member of the Coast Guard, says he was driving his boat around Star Island on his day off … when he was called over to the accident scene by a man and a woman on a jet ski. Rivera says he noticed an empty jet ski, a woman in the water floating (she was wearing a vest and complaining her head hurt) and Kingston.

Rivera says the two people on the jet ski were trying to hold Kingston up, but they were struggling to keep his head above water. Rivera says Kingston’s size was a problem for them, as his life vest had come off.

So Rivera says he jumped in the water and noticed Kingston was “puking up blood out of his mouth.”

Rivera says he wrapped his arms around Kingston and held on to the jet ski to help keep Kingston’s head above water. Rivera said Kingston was “convulsing and throwing up blood all over me” — but said he didn’t notice any head trauma.

Rivera tells us he held onto Kingston for about 15 minutes, until a police boat finally arrived. Rivera says he doesn’t think he could have held on much longer than he did.

Rivera says when helped arrived, he told Sean he was going to be okay. He says Kingston repeated back to him, “I’m going to be okay.”

When it came time to get Kingston into the boat, Rivera says Kingston was able to follow directions, though he did need some assistance getting in.

From there, paramedics quickly came and cleaned Kingston up and rushed him to an ambulance that was waiting nearby.

Rivera, who says he didn’t recognize Kingston until well into the rescue, tells us, “I mean regardless of whether I was in the Coast Guard, I would have still jumped off to help him. He needed help.”

Jimmy Vega, who was with Rivera at the time and assisted in rescuing Kingston, talked to a local reporter (see below) and explained, “We were about to turn back around [and go home] when we noticed him. I truly believe if we did turn around, he would not be with us today.”

Lady Gaga is “obsessed” with cooking shows

The eccentric singer loves experimenting with new recipes and confessed she takes inspiration from watching programmes about food.

She told heat magazine: “When I get time off, I like to watch cooking shows, I’m really obsessed with them. I’m a really good cook now, just from watching those shows. My speciality is Italian.”

Despite her hectic lifestyle, the ‘Judas’ singer revealed she loves to catch up with her childhood friends over good food and wine.

She explained: “I went to an all-girls’ school, so the few of my friends that I’ve kept since high school, we’ll all just get together and cook and drink six or seven bottles of red wine and just talk about life and chill out.”

Despite her passion for cooking, Gaga recently claimed she is on a “drunk diet” as consuming alcohol helps her creativity.

She said: “I am on the drunk diet. I live my life as I want to, creatively. I like to drink whiskey and stuff while I am working. But the deal is I’ve got to work out every day, and I work out hung over if I am hung over. And it’s about the cross-training and keeping yourself inspired. I have to say, I do a ton of yoga.”

Emma Watson was “genuinely terrified” by the war scenes in ‘Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2′

The film series climaxes with a huge battle between titular wizard Harry (Daniel Radcliffe) and his Hogwarts co-horts against evil Lord Voldemort (Ralph Fiennes) and his followers the Death Eaters, and the actress says the special effects were so realistic, most of the cast were in shock.

Emma – who plays Harry’s friend Hermione Granger – said: “They put plugs in our ears to protect our eardrums, but you can still hear because you’re so close to the bangs. There’s this one scene where they detonated all of these bombs, like, right next to us. I was absolutely, genuinely terrified.”

Rupert Grint – who plays another of Harry’s sidekicks, Ron Weasley – agreed, comparing the set to a battle epic.

He told Empire magazine: “It turned into a bit of a war film. We all formed this army, the castle is on fire with rubble and bodies littered everywhere. It’s shocking really, and they’re all kids as well!”

David Beckham — ‘Speeding Really Bad’ Before Crash

David Beckham was driving like a MANIAC before swerving into another lane at a dangerously high speed … and rear-ending a stalled vehicle earlier this month — this according to multiple 911 calls.

One caller — who claims she was driving behind David for several miles– reported that David was “driving recklessly” and “speeding really bad” before slamming into the stalled car on May 6.

Another caller claims David was “definitely speeding” — pulling in and out of the carpool lane … “breaking a couple traffic laws.”

As we previously reported, Beckham rear-ended another car with his Black Escalade … on one of the busiest highways in L.A. — and the other driver had to be taken to the hospital.

Beckham — whose son Brooklyn was in the car with him at the time — has not been arrested or cited.

A spokesman for Beckham tells us, “As unfortunate as accidents are, David was not cited by the police at the scene for any violations.”

Bruce Willis plays the “lamest hitman in the world” in ‘Looper’

The ‘Die Hard’ star plays a contract killer, or Looper, in the new time-travel thriller – in which his character executes people before they technically exist – but director Rian Johnson warns that doesn’t mean it’s a glamorous role.

He said: “In truth, a Looper is more of a garbage man. They have the lamest hitman job in the world. Calling a Looper a hitman makes it romantic.” Explaining the film’s time-travel theme a little further, the director – whose previous credits include ‘Brick’ and ‘The Brothers Bloom’ – explained the concept will be “very illegal” in the movie, but only in the future.

He added: “In the film time travel won’t have been invented yet, but 30 years down the line from that it definitely will be – and when it is it’s going to be very illegal. “It will also be difficult to dispose of a body, so criminals will have to go back in time and assemble a team of assassins, called Loopers.

“They kidnap the guy, zap him back 30 years and the Looper shoots them dead. Its’ the perfect crime! The Looper kills someone who doesn’t technical exist yet, so that person vanishes from the future.” The film will also see Bruce and Joseph Gordon Levitt playing the same character in different times. ‘Looper’ is set for release in 2012.

Lady Gaga can no longer watch the video for ‘Telephone’

The ‘Born This Way’ hitmaker – who collaborated with Beyonce Knowles on the track in 2010 – admitted while she and the ‘Halo’ singer are “great together”, she wishes she had been able to put her own stamp on the video.

She said: “I can’t even watch the ‘Telephone’ video, I hate it so much. Beyonce and I are great together. But there are so many f***ing idea in that video and all I see in that video is my brain throbbing with ideas and I wish I had edited it myself a little bit more.”

However, the 25-year-old singer – real name Stefani Germanotta – explained while she is “terrified” of the chaos in her brain, her fans seem to love it. Gaga added to Britain’s Time Out magazine: “It’s funny because I know a lot of kids didn’t like the ‘Alejandro’ video, but that was my favourite of all my videos.”

“Alejandro’ isn’t a busy video. But maybe that’s my own monster. People love the chaos in my brain, but I’m terrified of it.”

Brad Pitt has hinted he may marry Angelina Jolie soon

The actor – who raises Maddox, nine, Pax, seven, Zahara, six, and biological kids Shiloh, five, and twins Knox and Vivienne, two – with Angelina admitted the couple’s brood are putting pressure on them to tie the knot.

He told USA Weekend magazine: “The kids ask about marriage. It’s meaning more and more to them. So it’s something we’ve got to look at.” Brad, 47, started dating Angelina, 35, in 2005 shortly after he split from first wife Jennifer Aniston. Angelina has been twice married, to actors Johnny Lee Miller and Billy Bob Thornton.

Despite their large family, Brad insists he and his ‘Tomb Raider’ star partner get plenty of opportunity for intimate time, and don’t like to hide it from their children. He added: “We tell the kids, ‘Mom and Dad are going off to kiss.’ They go, ‘Eww, gross!’ But we demand it.”

The ‘Tree of Life’ actor also tries to give his children as much of a normal upbringing as they possibly can, considering their parents are huge film stars. She said: “In my red carpet clutch bag I keep eyeliner, of course. And lip gloss and sometimes I have a pre-loaded little blusher brush in the bag. It can make the inside of the bag a little dirty, but it’s a good trick.” Cheryl also has a great number of dresses to pick from when it comes to dressing up for showbiz events, but has rules in place to stop her from taking too long to choose what to wear.

She added to Britain’s OK! magazine: “I used to feel like it was good to have a lot of choice, but I don’t now. You don’t help yourself if you try on loads and think, ‘maybe this one, maybe that one’. It just makes things complicated. ‘Smallville’ Star — Having a Ruff Week Before Prison

“Smallville” star Sam Jones is less than a month away from being sentenced in his major drug case and he’s spending one of his few remaining weeks of freedom in Holland … looking for dogs.

Jones goes in front of a judge on June 22 to be sentenced for conspiring to illegally sell THOUSANDS of oxycodone pills and he could get as much as 70 months in the pokey.

But before that happens, Jones is going to spend the first week of June in Holland, where he will handpick dogs for a canine-protection business he owns called Platinum K9. PK9 sells personal protection dogs to high-end and celebrity clients … as well as to police K9 units. Ironic, no?

Jones got permission from Uncle Sam to head overseas, according to court docs filed this week, and will have his passport returned to him for the trip. The docs say Jones has to submit his itinerary to court officials before the trip and report back to them within 24 hours of his return … or else.

Jeff Conaway Autopsy Taking Place Today

The LA County Coroner is conducting an autopsy on “Grease” star Jeff Conaway this afternoon … TMZ has learned.

According to our sources, the coroner is expecting the results to be inconclusive and a cause of death will not be able to determined until toxicology results are in … which take about 4-6 weeks.

Conaway passed away yesterday at the age of 60 after he had reportedly fallen into a coma earlier this month.

Arnold Schwarzenegger has reportedly begged Maria Shriver to save their marriage

The couple split after 25 years together earlier this month when it emerged Arnold fathered a 13 year old son with the family’s former housekeeper, Mildred ‘Patty’ Baena, but he is desperate for “one more chance” to work things out.

Author Ian Halperin, who wrote an unauthorised biography of Arnold ‘The Governator’, told website Extra: “He’s actually shed tears. He
knows he’s done wrong, and he’s begging on his knees for forgiveness and one last chance. Arnold has been making calls to Maria repeatedly, asking her for one more chance.”

Things haven’t been going Arnold’s way however, with the author adding: “Maria wants no part of it.” Maria – who has four children with Arnold, Katherine, 21, Christina, 19, Patrick, 17, and Christopher, 13 – was pictured earlier this week having lunch with Bono, lead singer of rock band U2, who Ian said is helping her through the split.

He added: “Maria and Bono have been friends for years. Maria just wanted to seek advice, and Bono’s going to help Maria get over the devastation of being cheated on all these years by Arnold.”

The ‘Born This Way’ hitmaker who was named the most influential celebrity in the world earlier this month explained being bullied throughout her teenage years will stay with her for her “whole life” and she will never feel like she has made it.

She said: “Being bullied stays with you your whole life, and no matter how many people are screaming your name or how many number one hits you have, you can still wake up and feel like a loser.” Gaga ñ real name Stefani Germanotta admitted her songwriting also forces her to pour “salt, arsenic and poison” into the wounds of her childhood, but ultimately it can be a healing experience.

She added to Time Out magazine: “There were a lot of bullies. You have to open the wound and pour salt and arsenic and poison into that wound and you must get out a needle and poke and prod then sew it back up again.

“And when I’m handed a beat that sounds amazing, that beat is the scissors, and then I cut the wound I’ve just sewn up, and I go back in. I go back in and ask myself the same questions again and again and again, ‘Why am I here?’”

Take That kicked off their Progress Live 2011 tour in spectacular fashion last night (27.05.11)

The ‘Never Forget’ group opened their European tour at the Stadium of Light in Sunderland, Northern England, with a huge stage set including an 18 metre tall bionic man prop, acrobats and stage performers climbing a towering wall of water.

The band initially appearing as a quartet with Gary Barlow, Mark Owen, Jason Orange and Howard Donald performing ‘Rule The World’, ‘Greatest Day’, ‘Hold Up A Light’, ‘Patience’ and ‘Shine’. Returning member of the group Robbie Williams then appeared to perform a selection of his solo hits including ‘Let Me Entertain You’, ‘Rock DJ’, and ‘Angels’.

The full five piece group were then reunited onstage to play their first full set in 15 years. Robbie told the crowd: “20 years in the making, 15 years in the waiting, five years deliberating. Ladies and gentlemen, the That That show. I’m very proud to be a part of it all again.”

The band then performed a selection of classic tracks from their 90s period including ‘Million Love Songs’, ‘Babe’, ‘Everything Changes’
and ‘Back For Good’. The stage production reportedly cost £15 million to produce and featured 31 performers and nine costume changes for the band.

Cheryl Cole will receive her full £1.2 million fee for appearing on the US version of ‘The X Factor’

Despite being sacked earlier this week after just four days on the show’s judging panel, Cheryl will take home full pay for the series, even though she is unlikely to appear in the final version of the show.

Cheryl was said to be “shocked and stunned” at the news she was being let go by the Fox network which makes the show, who reportedly cited a “lack of chemistry” with fellow judge Paula Abdul as their reason. ‘The X Factor’ boss Simon Cowell – who brought the 27-year-old singer to the US for the show – has broken his silence on the matter, saying, “I feel guilty.”

He also insisted his “hands were tied” by network executives at Fox. A source close to the TV mogul told The Sun newspaper: “He loves
Cheryl and did everything in his power to get her on US TV. “But channel chiefs just weren’t happy. It was a necessary evil and he feels terribly guilty about it.”

Cheryl is believed to have been replaced by Nicole Scherzinger on the judging panel of the talent show, which also includes Simon and L.A. Reid. Cheryl is now locked in negotiations about a possible return to the UK version of the show, although sources say she is asking for a much higher fee.

Former ‘Idol’ Contestant — My Ex Threatened to Kill Me

Season 7 “American Idol” contestant Asia’h Epperson claims her ex-boyfriend beat the crap out of her on multiple occasions … and then threatened her with death … this according to court docs.

Epperson — who placed in the Top 16 on “A.I.” in 2008 — filed a request for a restraining order against her 27-year-old ex BF … claiming the guy has a history of “choking me and slamming me on the ground, fighting and wrestling me.”

According to the docs filed in L.A. County Superior Court, Epperson claims the abuse got so bad, the ex began making “threats about killing me and then himself.”

She claims he also, “called people out of my phone and threatened them as well … threatened to shoot my friends.”

Fortunately for Asia’h … her request was granted and the ex-BF was ordered to stay 100 yards away from her at all times.

Both sides are due back in court on June 10.

Spencer Pratt is furious at Virgin Mobile — telling TMZ, the cell company’s new celeb couple spoof “Sparah” is blatantly copying Speidi … and now he wants Virgin to start paying up for using his likeness.

If you haven’t seen the commercials … Virgin Mobile’s new ad campaign is built entirely around a fake Hollywood couple called “Sparah” — a mashup of the names Spencer and Sarah — and Pratt is pissed he and Heidi have become the target of a national joke … with no paycheck to show for it.

According to Spencer, Speidi’s getting ripped off — telling us, “They should being paying for using our likeness. It’s obvious they are trying to be us.”

Fergie & Josh — Our Bodyguard Saved a Life!

Fergie and Josh Duhamel’s cross-country flight had to be diverted for a passenger’s medical emergency — and it was the couple’s bodyguard who sprang into action to help save the man’s life!

Sources on the late night flight from NY to LA tell us a passenger began vomiting, then had a seizure. We’re told Fergie and Josh’s bodyguard, Pascal — a mountain of a man — jumped up to help flight attendants move the passenger into the aisle.

We’re told a doctor, who happened to be on board, performed CPR — then Pascal moved the man to the back of the plane, where flight attendants attached him to a heart monitor.

The flight was diverted to Las Vegas … and the passenger received treatment at a nearby hospital.

In true hero fashion, Pascal was mum about the incident when they got to LAX — but Josh was quick to sing his praises.

Sandra Bullock has splashed out $22.9 million on a new home

The Oscar-winning actress purchased the luxurious seven-bedroom Beverly Hills property for her and 17-month-old adopted son Louis to live in.

The Tudor-style property is set on 4.1 acres and comes with eight bathrooms, a detached four-car garage, a library, office, eat-in kitchen, work out room, staff quarters, swimming pool and stunning 270-degree views from downtown Los Angeles to the Pacific Ocean.

Until she bought the new property Sandra was living in New Orleans with Louis, as that is where the tot is from.

Sandra – who started the adoption process of Louis with ex-husband Jesse James but eventually applied as a single parent after they separated following revelations he cheated on her with a string of women – has said of New Orleans: “Without the spirit of the people who live there and take care of the city and honour its traditions, its love for music, its love for life, take those people out and you don’t have why I love New Orleans so much.”

Dr. Drew — Conaway Did NOT Die From an Overdose

Despite widespread reports, “Grease” star Jeff Conaway did NOT die from a drug overdose — but rather his body gave out after long-term prescription drug abuse … this according to Dr. Drew.

Drew — who treated Conaway on “Celebrity Rehab” — tells us there is no evidence showing Jeff died from an overdose … saying, “This was aspiration with overwhelming pneumonia and sepsis.”

Drew tells us Jeff’s condition was inevitable because the actor had been a serious pill popper for years and the constant substance abuse wore down his body.

Drew explains, “Jeff is another pharmaceutical death from the overutilization of prescription drugs. Please continue to pray for friends and family. They appreciate your support.”
