Lady Gaga only has tattoos on the left side of her body to please her father

The ‘Born This Way’ hitmaker made the decision to only be inked on one side so she can look “slightly normal” from certain angles to please her dad Joseph Germanotta.

In a Google Moderator interview which saw her answer question submitted by fans, she revealed: “All of my tattoos are on one side, per my father’s request. He asked that I remain, on one side, slightly normal, so I only have my tattoos on my left side.

“I think he sees the right as like my Marilyn Monroe side and the left as my Iggy Pop side.”

Gaga’s tattoos include a Campaign for Nuclear Disarmament symbol on her left wrist, a unicorn with the song title ‘Born This Way’ wrapped around its horn on her thigh, floral tattoos of roses and daisies on her lower back and shoulder and a quote from Austrian Bohemian poet Rainer Maria Rilke in German on her inner left upper arm.

The ‘Bad Romance’ singer chose to decorate that side of her figure because she is left handed and “creatively driven” by her left.

She added: “I’m also a leftie. It’s really my father – when I was a kid he tried to change my hands, and the doctor was like, ‘She was born that way, you can’t change it!’

“So I think from a neurological standpoint, because I’m creatively driven by my left side, that’s why I chose it.”

James Corden has become a father for the first time

The ‘Gavin and Stacey’ star and his fiancee Julia Carey – who he popped the question to on Christmas Day last year (25.12.10) – welcomed a baby boy into the world at London’s Portland Hospital on Tuesday morning (22.03.11).

According to The Sun newspaper, no further details of the early arrival have been revealed and the couple are yet to decide on a name for the tot.

When announcing the pregnancy, the 32-year-old actor-and-comedian admitted he and Julia – who he began dating in September 2009 after being introduced to the blonde beauty by James’ former flatmate, actor Dominic Cooper – were “absolutely over the moon” to be expecting a baby.

He said: “It’s true. We’re both absolutely over the moon. We really couldn’t be any happier.”

Meanwhile, friends of James – who previously dated ‘Two Pints of Lager and a Packet of Crisps’ star Sheridan Smith – recently claimed the baby news couldn’t have come at a better time for the TV star, who is finally ready to settle down.

A source revealed: “He was a bit of a ladies’ man in the past but those days are well behind him. He’s at the right age to settle down – and has met the girl of his dreams. He can’t wait to be a dad. Having a baby is a proud moment for James.”

Chris Brown — ABC Won’t Press Charges

Chris Brown has dodged a bullet after his alleged window-smashing meltdown at “Good Morning America” Tuesday — because network sources tell TMZ …. ABC has decided NOT to press charges.

Law enforcement sources tell TMZ … the NYPD will not investigate the matter because there is no complaining victim.

That’s especially good news for CB — because he’s currently on probation for beating up Rihanna …
and could have faced prison time if the judge violated his probation on grounds he committed vandalism.

We’re told the judge will not violate Chris’ probation unless New York prosecutes him … and that’s not going to happen.

No word if Chris will pay for the broken window.

Lil Wayne’s Producer Sues — Make it Rain, Bitch!

The guy who produced Lil Wayne’s song, “Lollipop,”is suing Weezy’s label, claiming he’s owed more than $20 million for his good work.

Darius Harrison, known as Deezle, claims he not only produced “Lollipop,” he also produced “Whip It,” “Prostitute 2,” and “Action,” as well as “Mrs. Officer” and “Let the Beat Build” — all songs on “Tha Carter III” which sold more than 6 million copies.

Deezle claims in his lawsuit against Young Money Entertainment and Cash Money Records … album sales that he was involved in producing grossed more than $70 million.

Deez claims he’s owed more than $20 mil.

Hanks Sues Insurance Agent: Like a Bad Neighbor

Tom Hanks and Rita Wilson are suing their former insurance broker, claiming he gauged, defrauded and embezzled them out of a fortune.

Hanks, Wilson and others claim they worked with J.B. Goldman Insurance Agency for more than 20 years, using the company to procure homeowners, directors and other business policies.

According to the suit, obtained by TMZ, Hanks and Wilson switched brokers last month and the new broker allegedly discovered gross overcharging for various policies.

The suit claims the broker overcharged them, insured them multiple times for the same things, and engaged in a “predatory embezzlement scheme” that cost all the plaintiffs hundreds of thousands if not millions of dollars.

The suit seeks unspecified damages.

Dr. Murray: Arnie Klein Made MJ a Demerol Addict

Dr. Conrad Murray’s lawyers just filed blistering legal docs, claiming Dr. Arnold Klein — Michael Jackson’s longtime doctor and friend — addicted him to Demerol and another powerful narcotic.

In legal papers obtained by TMZ, Murray’s legal team claims Klein fueled MJ’s drug dependency by giving him scores of Demerol injections in the months prior to his death. TMZ broke the story … in the 3 months before Jackson died, Dr. Klein gave MJ 51 Demerol injections.

The docs claim, “Due to Mr. Klein’s actions, Mr. Jackson became physiologically and psychologically dependent on Demerol.”

Murray’s team wants Klein to produce all his medical records, claiming “Dr. Klein is a relevant and highly material witness to the defense.”

Demi Lovato returned to work today (22.03.11)

The 18-year-old star – who left rehab in January after seeking treatment for “emotional and physical issues” in November – is taking further steps in her recovery, but would not reveal the project she was embarking on.

She tweeted: “First day back to working. I can’t wait to share with you guys what I’m doing today.

“It’s a big day for me. So excited! I love you all!!! (sic)”

Mystery sounds what Demi is working on as Disney bosses insist she hasn’t yet returned to her TV show ‘Sonny With a Chance’.

A spokesperson told E! News: “Demi’s management will inform us when she is ready to return to work.

“As you know, last November, we announced that we would focus on our ‘So Random’ sketch comedy show [the show within ‘Sonny With a Chance’] to keep the staff, cast and crew employed. We began production in January and will debut those episodes this spring.”

Demi – who entered rehab after she allegedly punched a backing dancer – recently revealed she was excited about the prospect of returning to work.

In a video message thanking fans for their support, she said: “I wanted to let you guys know that I’m excited to get back to work and I can’t wait to tell you what the future holds. I can’t wait to see you guys in person and thank you all individually. I love you all and I couldn’t have done this without you.”

Robin Roberts — Chris Approved My Rihanna Q’s

Robin Roberts asked Chris Brown if she could ask him about the Rihanna incident BEFORE the live interview began on “GMA” this morning … this according to sources connected to the production.

Sources tell TMZ … Roberts insists both she and other “GMA” staff members spoke with Chris before the interview and asked if it would be OK to ask “a few questions” about the Rihanna incident … and Chris approved.

As TMZ first reported, Brown flipped out after the interview — and apparently smashed a window in his dressing room.

Robin is telling people at the show she did NOT try to set him up … and insists, “I’m pulling for the guy.”

As for the broken window, no one in the studio saw Chris throw the chair into the window … but he was definitely in the dressing room when the window was smashed.

Michael Lohan Allegedly Viciously Attacks Kate Major

TMZ now knows why Michael Lohan was arrested Monday night on domestic violence charges … and it involves his ex-girlfriend, Kate Major … and it appears there was a violent confrontation.

Michael went to his apartment last night — the one he shared with Kate. She hasn’t lived there for a while and came to pick up some of her stuff.

We’re told Michael became upset that Kate was packing up for good, and “went ballistic.” They started arguing, and Kate turned her back on him. She told cops, Michael then grabbed her and threw her across the room. Kate says she struck the bedpost with her left shoulder.

Kate claims she threatened to call the cops, and then Michael allegedly took a towel and began choking her. She also claims Michael then threatened to cut himself with a razor blade and tell cops she did it — if she called police.

Kate went to the Sheriff’s sub-station, where cops photographed what we’re told are “visible injuries.”

TMZ broke the story … Michael was arrested and booked on inflicting corporal on a co-habitant injury false imprisonment, and preventing the report of victimization — all felony charges.

Michael complained of chest pains after the incident and is currently in the hospital.

Chris Brown — Violent Outburst at ‘GMA’

Chris Brown exploded in rage behind the scenes at “Good Morning America” this morning … smashing a window and storming out without a shirt … sources tell TMZ … and it was triggered by on-air questions about the Rihanna incident.

ABC sources tell TMZ … Brown performed and was interviewed by Robin Roberts live from the Times Square studio when she began asking about the infamous incident.

Brown tried to redirect the questions to focus on his album — but Roberts continued to ask about Brown’s legal issues stemming from the Rihanna incident.

We’re told after the interview, Brown freaked out, storming into his dressing room and screaming so loud, the people in hair and makeup became alarmed and called security.

We’re told Brown was out of control, and one source present tells us he smashed a window in his dressing room, and the glass shattered and some shards fell onto 43rd and Broadway.

We’re told by the time security rushed the area, Brown had ripped off his shirt and left the building, blowing off another performance he was supposed to for the ABC website.

Remember — Brown is on probation for the felony beating and he’s required to obey all laws.

Kirstie Alley “wants a nine” on ‘Dancing with the Stars’

The ‘Fat Actress’ star and her partner Maksim Chmerkovskiy came second in the leader board on the night with their cha cha cha to Cee Lo Green’s ‘Forget You’, with judges Carrie Ann Inaba and Bruno Tonioli both awarding them eight points.

The couple received a total of 23 out of a possible 30 and finished just behind ‘The Karate’ Kid’ star Ralph Macchio.

Speaking after the event, a shocked Kirstie said: “I did work hard, and I’m going to work harder now. I’ve had a taste of an eight, I want a nine.”

Kirstie – who has admitted she wanted to take part in the show to lose weight – was the last to perform, and Bruno confessed her footwork was among the best on show.

He said: “Your foot placement was the best of the night.”

Head judge Len Goodman added: “It was fun it was cheeky and it made me feel good.”

Pittsburgh Steelers player Hines Ward was also highly acclaimed for his cha cha cha with partner Kym Johnson, with the audience on their feet for his dance.

Among the surprises of the night was Playboy owner Hugh Hefner turning up to watch his former girlfriend Kendra Wilkinson and talk show host Wendy Williams putting in a less than confident performance and scoring just 14.

Commenting on the dance, Len said: “You need to unleash the beast. I thought, ‘Here we go, loud and proud – you got your dumplings boiling over.’ But it was quiet. It was timid.”

No stars were eliminated from the first show.

Nicole Scherzinger has been signed up to host the US version of ‘The X Factor’

Simon Cowell has reportedly signed up the former Pussycat Dolls singer – who is managed by his rival, ‘American Idol’ boss Simon Fuller – to present the show after negotiating a deal with Nicole’s American label CAA to ensure she has a clear schedule when the series launches later in the year.

However, with the 32-year-old beauty originally tipped for a role on the judging panel of the US ‘X Factor’, her “natural” ability in front of the camera convinced the 51-year-old music mogul to offer her the coveted hosting job instead.

An insider told the Daily Mirror newspaper: “Never has there been so much behind-the-scenes wheeling and dealing as with ‘X Factor’ USA. “Having lined up Nicole as a potential judge, Simon decided to try something different and unexpected, and have a non-mainstream presenter present.

“Nicole’s had screen tests and is a natural in front of the camera. Autocue does not faze her at all. As an established singer, both as a solo artist and in a group, Nicole will be great with the contestants and knows what she is talking about.

“The approach was made a few weeks ago. And although she has still not formally signed, it’s all looking very positive.”

With Nicole having bagged the presenting job, Simon is still attempting to convince Fox bosses to sign up Cheryl Cole for the judging panel, amid concerns the ‘Promise This’ singer is relatively unknown in the US.

The source added: “On the judging front, things are changing almost daily, but Simon has put his neck on the line to sell Cheryl to network bosses. After being stonewalled initially, Simon believes he has convinced them to sign off her deal.”

Simon and record producer L.A. Reid are the only judges confirmed to appear on the panel so far, while Katy Perry, Nicki Minaj, Mariah Carey and Paula Abdul have all been linked to the two female roles.

An as-of-yet-unnamed male star will also co-host the series alongside Nicole.

Gwyneth Paltrow prefers appearing in ‘Glee’ to starring in films

The 38-year-old actress – who has appeared in two separate storylines as substitute teacher Holly Holliday in the show – enjoyed the “frantic” pace of the musical drama series in comparison with the relatively relaxed pace of movie sets.

Gwyneth – who has two children, Apple, six, and Moses, four, with her Coldplay star husband Chris Martin – said in an interview with this week’s new! magazine: “I had such a good time. I went out to California for about 10 days and took the kids with me. I brought them out of school. I just loved doing that show.

“When I was first asked to do the show I had never seen it. I had heard it was a big hit, so I said, ‘Yeah!’ But it was tough. I’m used to a slower pace of shooting on a movie and this was really frantic. But I think I preferred it, actually.”

‘Glee’ creator Ryan Murphy recently admitted having Gwyneth – who is due to return for a third appearance later in the year – guest star on the show was a “dream come true”.

He said: “Gwyneth Paltrow is going to come and do an episode soon, which is amazing. Having her come on the show is pretty much a dream come true – she’s always been one of my dream guests.”

Bam tells TMZ … he was at the SXSW festival late Thursday night, walking through a crowd of a bunch of drunks, “when someone said something rude to me, so I began making fun of a big girl in the group.” Bam said, “I called her a sea otter and asked her why she’s in Texas. She should be in Alaska laying on an iceberg because she’s a beached whale.”

Bam says the woman’s friend punched him in the face and the two began fighting. Bam fell to the ground and the woman then delivered the knockout blow. Bam was out for 7 minutes.

Bam says his face was “covered in blood” and he has a black eye. On top of that, he lost his $500 bracelet.

Robert Downey Jr. & Mel Gibson: Double-Double Date

Robert Downey Jr. and Mel Gibson got together for a friendly celebrity power lunch yesterday, but it didn’t go down at one of those super-expensive Hollywood joints — they got burgers at In-N-Out … TMZ has learned.

The old friends found themselves out in Irvine, CA when the hunger pangs hit — so they went to every West Coasters favorite fast food spot.

According to a witness, they each ordered a Double-Double combo meal and dined with a third person, non-celebrity. They were joined by a security guard, who did the ordering for them.

BTW — We know the pic is blurry, but we’ve confirmed with our Mel sources … it’s definitely them.

No word on why the two were in Irvine together, but we’re told it definitely wasn’t for a movie.

Khloe Kardashian is now sharing her home with frogs

The 26-year-old reality TV star has revealed the Los Angeles property she shares with husband Lamar Odom – who she married in September 2009 – has flooded due to excessive rain, and an army of frogs have since taken up residence in the entrance to her house.

Writing on her twitter page, she said: “This rain is crazy! Our bar/pool table room is flooded&Lamar & I spent 20 mins getting FROGS out of our entry way! That was classic! LOL

“trust me I was screaming but laughing at the same time. OMG it was sooooo funny! LOL but apparently frogs love my house. (sic)”

This isn’t the first time a member of the Kardashian family has suffered from an animal-based problem.

Kim Kardashian recently revealed she was once given a puppy for Christmas, which sadly passed away from “snail poisoning” just two weeks after she received the pet pooch.

The 30-year-old reality TV star explained: “Valentina was its name, but then she died two weeks later because she had snail poisoning – you know when snails leave a little trail? She got super excited and ate it and died.”

Paris/Bruno D.A. Allegedly Scored Coke 4X a Week

The deputy D.A. who prosecuted Paris Hilton and Bruno Mars scored coke 3 to 4 times a week in the crack den of Las Vegas … this according to the police report obtained by TMZ.

David Schubert, who was busted Saturday night, had gone to a notorious area of Vegas Saturday night. Schubert, who was driving a BMW, stopped and cops observed a male get inside his car.

The two began driving and cops were suspicious, after the passenger got out of the car, went into an apartment complex and came back out. When Schubert allegedly committed a traffic violation, cops made their move and stopped the vehicle. The passenger got out and ran, and was subdued after a foot chase.

The passenger then snitched Schubert out, telling cops Schubert would come by 3 to 4 times a week and use him to purchase $40 worth of cocaine at a time. The passenger says Schubert would call periodically to ask if anyone was selling narcotics.

Mind you … this was allegedly going down at the same time Schubert was prosecuting Paris and Bruno.

Cops observed a “white, rocklike substance” in the car and it tested positive for cocaine.

Lady Gaga is getting an ‘egg’ bed

The eccentric singer is spending £1.2 million on renovating her New York condo as a shrine to her onstage persona and it will include a version of the ‘egg’ vessel she arrived at and climbed out of at the recent Grammy Awards.

Her home will also showcase her flamboyant costumes, several props and keepsakes she has collected on her travels, which include bones and masks.

An insider said: “This house project is Gaga’s new baby.

“The egg vessel is being made especially for her. She’ll be able to sleep in it, in place of a double bed. She felt so a home in the egg on stage – she spent hours in it meditating and says when she’s in it she feels at peace.”

Architects will reportedly start work on the ‘Born This Way’ singer’s property in a fortnight’s time and she is said to have also enlisted the help of her close friend Rick Genest and fashion director Nicola Formichetti to advise her on the interior design.

Last month, Gaga revealed she will always live in the New York neighbourhood where she grew up as she wants a “normal” life and was left unimpressed after a brief stint on the Hollywood party scene.

She said: “I actually made a choice to keep my life pretty normal.

“Some point about two years ago I said to myself, ‘OK, am I going to put my toe in Hollywood’s pond and figure out if I want to live a glamorous life and assimilate to the glamorous lifestyle’, but I really didn’t want to do it.”

“I still live where I always lived, I still hang out and drink whisky at the same bars. I still go to the same hardware store.”

Paris Hilton wants to get an invitation to the royal wedding

The 30-year-old hotel heiress – who is a “massive fan” of the British royal family – is reportedly “desperate” to attend the April 29 nuptials between Prince William and Kate Middleton, and has been bombarding her contacts in the hope of securing an invite to the ceremony at Westminster Abbey.

An insider told the Daily Star newspaper: “Paris is a massive fan of the royals and counts Princess Diana among her idols, so she’s desperate to be seen at the wedding. She knows it will be an event not to be missed.

“She’s been speaking to all her contacts in the hope of getting an invite, but so far she hasn’t had any luck.”

As well as idolising William’s late mother Princess Diana – who was tragically killed in a car crash in Paris in August 1997 – the socialite recently admitted she would love to date the “hot” prince if he were to ditch Kate.

After meeting William in exclusive London nightspot Whisky Mist in 2008, Paris said: “I’d be more than happy to date William so long as he ditches the mousy girlfriend.

Justin Bieber lived in a mouse-infested house before he became famous

The ‘Baby’ hitmaker revealed he and his mother Pattie Mallette were so poor after his dad Jeremy Bieber walked out on them that he didn’t even have a proper bed and had to sleep on a pull out couch in their Canadian council flat before he was discovered on video sharing website YouTube.

Justin said: “That place was really dirty. We had mousetraps everywhere because there were mouses – uh, mice – in the house. I didn’t have a real bed. I slept on a blue pull-out couch in my room.”

Now the 17-year-old singer has admitted he would love to play poverty stricken orphan Oliver Twist in a remake of the 1966 musical ‘Oliver!’ because he can identify with the protagonist.

He explained to The Sun newspaper: “We didn’t have anything in the fridge, except maybe luncheon meat for school and macaroni and cheese. I’d love to play Oliver Twist.”

It has previously been revealed Justin’s mother thinks he would in a “lot of trouble” if he wasn’t a pop star and they hadn’t moved away from their old neighbourhood.

His manager Scooter Braun said: “I think his mother – she and I have talked about this – at times, she struggles with how protective we have to be of him.

“But I also think, and she’s said this in interviews, that she feels safer with him living this life because it’s structured and we know where he is all the time. She feels that if they were still in Stratford, Ontario, he’d be getting himself into a lot of trouble.”

Wyclef Jean has been shot

The former Fugees frontman was hit in the hand on the eve of presidential elections in his native Haiti yesterday (19.03.11). Wyclef had travelled to the Caribbean country to raise support for presidential candidate Michel Martelly in today’s (20.03.11) second round of voting, which pits him against former First Lady Mirlande Manigat.

Although Wyclef was taken to hospital, the wound was superficial and he was released after receiving treatment. The singer had been attacked while driving through the country’s capital, Port Au Prince, with another hip-hop artist, Busta Rhymes, and record executive Jimmy Rosemond. A representative for the star wrote on his twitter page: “We have spoken to Wyclef, he is ok. Thank you for your thoughts and prayers – Management.”

It is not yet known who shot at Wyclef or the reasons behind their actions, but the assailant has not been caught. ‘Fu-Gee-La’ singer Wyclef had put himself forward as a presidential candidate for Haiti – which is still recovering from a huge earthquake in January 2010 – but stepped down after he was deemed ineligible to run, as he now lives in the US.

An insider explained: “She’s become a bit of a germaphobe. She carries hand sanitizer everywhere she goes and doesn’t like to shake hands or stand to close to people.” However, the 29-year-old actress’ fiance – who she met on the set of ‘Black Swan’, which he choreographed – is supporting Natalie’s new found germ obsession and even rushed out to buy a humidifier for the couple’s Los Angeles home.

The source added to National Enquirer magazine: “Ben’s been great. He humours Natalie.” Natalie is not the only star to become a “germaphobe” after falling pregnant. Shortly after Jennifer Lopez gave birth to twins Max and Emme in 2008, it was reported she had installed dispensers containing a special hand lotion for people to use before they entered the babies’ nursery.

The Gossip frontwoman wishes her favourite programme, ‘How Clean Is Your House?’ – in which presenters Kim Woodburn and Aggie McKenzie help people sort out their filthy surroundings – would launch in her native America because it would be such a challenge for the hosts.

She said: “My favourite TV show is ‘How Clean Is Your House’, the British one – there is no American one. “Though sometimes they come to America and than can be better – I feel there’s no dirtier house than in the United States.” Beth also revealed her favourite film is ‘Sister Act 2: Back in the Habit’ because she is such a huge Whoopi Goldberg fan.

She said: “I don’t know what it is about it, but I just love Whoopi Goldberg. She’s amazing – every role she does, she’s so underestimated and underrated. “When she’s given a script, she always goes through it as a black woman and asks for things to be changed if they’re not accurate to life. That’s just really amazing. “And I love the ideas of nuns running around and going wild.”
