Lindsay D.A.: Selling Surveillance Tape Means Nothing

The prosecutor in the Lindsay Lohan case tells TMZ … the fact that the alleged victim/jeweler may be selling views of the surveillance video online will have no bearing on the criminal trial.

Danette Meyers tells TMZ …she isn’t fazed by Kamofie & Company purportedly selling views of the video for $2.99 a pop.

Meyers says, “The issue is whether Lindsay stole the necklace, period.”

Meyers believes the defense will try and take advantage of the online sale, but she says, “That will just add around 30 minutes to cross examination. That’s it.”

Meyers doesn’t think the jewelers’ credibility will be harmed by the $2.99 deal. Lindsay has said the necklace was a loan and she didn’t steal it. Meyers says it gets back to the issue, If she didn’t steal it, “Why then did Lindsay return the necklace to the police?”

And sources say the owners of Kamofie & Company “got a raw deal” and haven’t seen a penny of profits from the sale of the video, at least not yet. The sources say the owners were taken advantage of, and the contracts they made for the sale of the tape are now being reviewed by lawyers.

Michael Buble has married his fiancee Luisana Lopilato

The ‘Haven’t Met You Yet’ hitmaker – who has been dating the actress since 2008 – tied the knot with the Argentinean beauty in a civil ceremony in Buenos Aires earlier today (31.03.11).

While the nuptials were relatively low-key, the couple happily posed for a mob of fans after the wedding before Luisana – dressed in a violet gown – tossed her bouquet of pruple orchids into the crowd.

It is believed the couple, who announced their engagement in January, will be hosting a larger ceremony for 300 guests at a mansion outside the Argentinean city next month.

In addition to the pair’s South American nuptials, Canadian-born Michael recently announced plans to host a second wedding in Vancouver.

He said: “We are doing one in Argentina and that’s for her close family, and then we are doing one in Vancouver.”

However, the 35-year-old star – who previously dated actress Emily Blunt – joked the pair had originally planned on tying the knot on April 29, but was concerned the royal wedding of Prince William and Kate Middleton would overshadow his nuptials.

Michael explained: “I was going to do it on the 29th but I figured I wouldn’t get any press.”

MJ Family Offended by ‘A.I.’ Pepsi Moment

Michael Jackson’s family is offended by a comment made on “American Idol” last night by a contestant, who made light of MJ’s devastating injury that triggered years of drug abuse.

If you saw the show, James Durbin told Ryan Seacrest after his performance, “I have a lot of hairspray in my hair to keep it from jumping around — so much so, the one thing I was worried about was having a ‘Pepsi moment.’”

The “Pepsi moment” is a reference to the 1984 incident where Michael Jackson’s hair caught on fire during the filming of a Pepsi commercial, severely burning his scalp — an injury that triggered an addiction to prescription drugs that may have ultimately taken his life.

A Jackson family rep tells TMZ, “We were shocked to see this. It’s nothing to make light of and everybody should be focusing on who was responsible for Michael’s death.”

The rep says Joe was particularly upset that producers didn’t take the remark out of the West Coast feed.

Carrie Ann Inaba has got engaged live on TV

The ‘Dancing With the Stars’ judge burst into tears when her boyfriend Jesse Sloane – who she has been dating for two years – got down on one knee while she was filling in for Kelly Ripa co-hosting ‘LIVE! With Regis and Kelly’.

In on the surprise proposal, the 43-year-old star’s fellow presenter Regis Philbin read a letter from a supposed viewer who wanted to pop the question to his girlfriend of two years, but was unsure as to how to go about doing it.

Jesse then walked on to the set carrying a huge princess-cut engagement ring, as the show’s lights dimmed and a group of violinists appeared.

He said: “I struggle to find the words to express what you mean to me. You’re an inspiration. You’re everything to me. Will you marry me?”

Accepting the proposal, a teary Carrie Ann said: “Yes. I will marry you.”

However, she later admitted she had no idea she would be leaving the show with a new fiance in tow.

She explained: “I’m shocked. I should have thought something was up.”

Earlier this month, Carrie Ann admitted she and 39-year-old accountant Jesse were planning a summer wedding on the beach, and are hoping their guests will jump into the ocean with them once they have made their vows.

She told Prevention magazine: “We’re planning a summer wedding on the beach. There’s something about looking into the vast blue ocean that always puts life into perspective. The fresh air and negative ions recharge the system.

“We want everyone to jump in the water with us after our vows, so it will have to be someplace warm and tropical.”

Wilkins’ Alleged Attacker — ‘I’m Gonna Sue!’

The man accused of attacking NBA legend Dominique Wilkins says he’s the real victim and he’s planning to sue over the alleged beat down.

TMZ spoke with Rashan Michel — a former NBA referee — and he claims he was calmly trying to work out a deal over the money he says ‘Nique owes him for custom suits.

Michel claims Wilkins responded by yelling, “F**k You!” … then security wrestled him to the ground … and that’s when the Hall of Famer slugged him. Michel is adamant that he did NOT hit Wilkins first.

Michel tells us he plans on suing Wilkins and the Hawks organization — as well as subpoenaing the surveillance footage … which he claims proves his side of the story.

Khloe Kardashian would love to trade bodies with her sister Kim

The reality TV star’s weight has fluctuated over the years and while she accepts she will never be a typical slim Hollywood size, she admits she is envious of her 30-year-old sibling’s “flawless” body.

She said: “Kim, who I think is flawless, is always complaining. She complains about cellulite and I tell her, ‘I’ll trade your cellulite for my love handles!’ ”

Khloe’s weight is constantly under scrutiny and on display in her and her sisters’ reality TV shows including ‘Keeping Up with the Kardashians’ and while most of the time she can deal with the negative comments, there are days when she gets upset.

She explained to the Middle Eastern edition of Cosmopolitan magazine: “Kim and Kourtney have said to me, ‘If we were put under the same negative attention that you are, we couldn’t handle it.’ If I want to wear a long flowing dress, someone will say I’m pregnant. I believe we’re not given any more than we can handle and most of the time I can handle it. But we all have fat days and if I’m having one of those days, those sorts of things make me feel down.”

However, Khloe is trying to be more content with her shape as she realises there are some people who envy her figure.

She said: “Girls tell me and my sisters, ‘We love your booties.’ Just the other day a really thin stylist said to me, ‘I wish I had your booty. I don’t have one.’”

The Brazilian model – who has a 16-month-old daughter, Valentina, with basketball star Marko Jaric – loved being pregnant and since the birth she now feels “more beautiful” than she ever has done before.

She said: “It was the best thing that can happen to my life. During pregnancy it was great. Those pregnancy hormones did wonders to me.

“I feel much more beautiful, sexier, more womanly. I think my hair, my skin is much better now.”

The South American beauty has also praised her fellow Victoria’s Secret models and new mothers Miranda Kerr and Doutzen Kroes, saying the pair will be “very responsible” parents.

She told website Hollyscoop: “They were asking a few questions. I think they’re very responsible and very gentle. I’m sure they’re being wonderful mothers.”

Adriana has previously revealed she much prefers being a mother to being a model because it has taught her what love is.

She said: “The best job in the world for me is being a mom. I never thought I could love so much. I always thought, does unconditional love exist? Now I know it does because I feel it.

Britney Spears Sued for Alleged Perfume Fraud

Britney Spears allegedly defrauded a company that hooked her up with Elizabeth Arden in a deal that made Britney a fortune … this according to a $10 million lawsuit obtained by TMZ.

Brand Sense Partners, LLC claims it had a deal with Brit in which the company would get 35% of Britney’s profits in return for securing a perfume contract with Elizabeth Arden.

According to the suit obtained by TMZ, Britney and her dad defrauded Brand Sense by entering into a secret deal with Elizabeth Arden, allegedly robbing Brand Sense of millions in the marketing of her perfume, Radiance.

The suit claims Brand Sense caught Jamie “red-handed” in circumventing their deal.

The lawsuit seeks more than $10 million in damages.

David Boreanaz Settles Sexual Harassment Lawsuit

David Boreanaz has put a sexual harassment lawsuit behind him — the one where a “Bones” actress claims he came onto her while she worked on the show.

Kristina Hagan — an extra — claimed David sent her “sexually inappropriate text messages,” saying he could “make things happen for her.” She made many other lurid claims as well.

When the lawsuit was filed, David’s lawyer, legal pit bull Marty Singer, said the allegations were “absurd.”

Kristina was repped by Gloria Allred, who sued both FOX and David.

Rihanna doesn’t expect to speak to Chris Brown ever again

The ‘What’s My Name’ hitmaker – who was assaulted by the 21-year-old singer, her then-boyfriend, in 2009 – explained while she recently had the terms of her five-year restraining order against the star relaxed, it doesn’t mean the pair will ever “make up”.

She said: “It doesn’t mean we’re gonna make up, or even talk again. It just means I didn’t want to object to the judge. We don’t have to talk again ever in my life. I just didn’t want to make it more difficult for him professionally.

“What he did to me was a personal thing. It had nothing to do with his career. Saying he has to be a hundred feet away from me, he can’t perform at awards shows, that definitely made it difficult for him. That was the only thing it was going to change, so I didn’t care.”

The 23-year-old singer also admitted while she has come to terms with the fact that she won’t be able to please everyone with the way she handled the situation, it was a “very vulnerable” time in her life and she didn’t want people to feel sorry for her.

Rihanna added to Rolling Stone magazine: “You can never please people. One minute I’m being too hard, and the next minute I’m a fool because I’m not being hard enough.

“I put my guard up so hard. I didn’t want people to see me cry. I didn’t want people to feel bad for me. It was a very vulnerable time in my life, and I refused to let that be the image. I wanted them to see me as, ‘I’m fine, I’m tough.’ I put that up until it felt real.”

Angelina Jolie’s life has been turned into a comic book

The 35-year-old actress is the latest celebrity to be turned into a sketched character by American Publishers Bluewater Productions for their Female Force series.

Other stars who have featured in the series include Sarah Palin, Oprah Winfrey and Hillary Clinton, and the new comic book focuses on Angelina as she experiences the ups and down of her acting career, motherhood and humanitarian work.

Brent Sprecher, who wrote the comic, revealed he wanted to draw attention away from the ‘Salt’ star’s celebrity persona so people would remember her good deeds.

He said:” I learned a great deal about her struggles and triumphs as an actress, mother and humanitarian.

“Often painted as an edgy, slightly dangerous movie star, what is often not revealed about Ms. Jolie is her tireless commitment to charity work and her dedication to the plight of refugees around the world as a Goodwill Ambassador with the United Nations.”

The writer added that it was his wish that young women across the world would take inspiration from Angelina’s story.

He said: “My hope is that this biography, in some small way, inspires others to follow Angelina Jolie’s example and make helping those in need a part of their daily lives.”

Other stars set to star in their own comic book in the future are Beyonce Knowles, Bill O’Reilly and Betty White.

Bluewater president and founder Darren G. Davis said: “We’re focusing our biography titles on the most intriguing celebrities, world leaders and artists.

“This is by design. We want to bring new fans to comics. One way to do this is to publish biographies on celebrities that already have strong and dedicated fan bases.”

Sly Stallone — I’m Getting My ‘Cobra’ Car Back!

After 17 years apart, Sylvester Stallone will finally be reunited with the legendary classic car featured in his movie “Cobra” … after it was stolen out of his garage back in 1994 … TMZ has learned.

We broke the story — in 2009, Sly learned his custom built 1950 Mercury was about to be auctioned off by a company that provides “on-camera vehicles” for movies.

Sly never directly accused the company of stealing his ride … he just wanted the damn thing back — so he filed a lawsuit to regain possession.

Now, TMZ has learned, Stallone and the company reached a settlement … under which Sly will regain ownership of the whip … estimated to be worth more than $250,000.

It’s unclear if any money changed hands … but who cares, Sly’s getting his “Cobra” car back!!!

Enrique Iglesias: My Ego Couldn’t Handle Britney

Enrique Iglesias dropped out of the upcoming Britney Spears concert tour because his ego couldn’t handle being her opening act … multiple sources connected with the tour tell TMZ.

We’re told lawyers and agents for Britney and Enrique were hammering out an agreement for weeks, and the terms were finessed to make Enrique appear to be a co-headliner. We’re told both sides agreed to the deal and that’s why the announcement was made Tuesday.

But just hours before Britney’s camp went public, Enrique was burning up the phone lines and the Internet, engaging various people connected with the tour in lengthy conversations in which he made it clear — he was, in reality, Britney’s opening act and he wanted out.

One source says the deal was actually very favorable to Enrique … “great terms and great placement.” But we’re told it all came down to taking the stage before Brit — too much to handle.

Ashley Greene admits she didn’t feel love at first sight with Joe Jonas

Asked if she felt love at first sight with Joe, Ashley said: “A friendship developed first, and that’s the most important thing for me. If you are going to be with someone all the time, they need to be your best friend.”

In an interview with America’s Glamour magazine conducted before she split from Joe, Ashley said: “You need to be able to talk about the difficult things. The pop star is very excited about the upcoming nuptials of Prince William and Kate Middleton on April 29 and she admits she would love to be inside Westminster Abbey, in London, when they say their vows.

She said: “I’ve met William a couple of times but never Kate. I can’t wait for the royal wedding – hopefully I’ll be watching from an aisle!”

The 27-year-old singer recently brushed shoulders with royalty.

She met William’s father Prince Charles at his charity the Prince’s Trust Celebrate Success Awards in London earlier this month.

And she now plans to use her connection to the heir to the British throne to get her hands on an invite.

She joked to the UK edition of HELLO! magazine: “I’m going to ask Prince Charles where my invite to the royal wedding is. I think it got lost in the post, there must be a delay with the Royal Mail.”

The Girls Aloud star discussed plans with Charles for her charity The Cheryl Cole Foundation to support The Prince’s Trust’s work with disadvantaged young people in North East England, where Cheryl’s hometown Newcastle is located.

And the brunette beauty admits she was impressed by the royal’s charming demeanour.

She said: “It was amazing. He’s so charismatic, funny and easy to talk to – he’s lovely. I had tea and a biscuit and we chatted about normal stuff, his work with The Prince’s Trust, Prince Harry, my charity, lots of things.”

Lea Michele was involved in a car crash on Friday morning (25.03.11)

The 24-year-old ‘Glee’ actress – who plays Rachel Berry in the Fox television series – was involved in a smash with another vehicle while driving down Melrose Avenue in Los Angeles on her way home from work, but is said to be doing “fine”.

A representative for the star told USmagazine.com: “Lea was hit and notified the police. She was not injured and is fine.”

Despite Lea emerging from the incident relatively unscathed, an onlooker explained she quickly noted down the other car’s details when she became aware she had been hit by a “couple of drunk girls”.

A source added: “A couple of drunk girls hit her, got out of the car, giggled that she was famous, said something like, ‘Are you drunk, too?’ Then they drove off.”

This isn’t the first time the brunette beauty has been involved in a car crash.

Lea recently admitted she turned up to her ‘Glee’ audition with glass in her hair after getting into a “massive car wreck”.

She said: “For my second audition I got into a massive car wreck, left my crashed car in the street and ran into the audition with cuts and glass in my hair. And then on the final audition, I had the worst neck ache from the car accident.”

Fergie spent her 36th birthday running to raise money for Japan

The Black Eyed Peas singer took part in a sponsored run organised by her actor husband Josh Duhamel yesterday (27.03.11) to help victims of the recent earthquake and tsunami in the Far East country but she revealed she didn’t mind sacrificing her birthday plans for such a worthy cause.

Fergie said: “People have just shown up with a really good attitude, and it’s my birthday. I’ve got my mom here, my old school friends came like Stephanie from Wild Orchid. I’m just excited to be here, it was a great thing to do to give back on my birthday.”

Although Josh easily beat Fergie in the two-mile fun run, the diminutive singer credited her 6ft 3in husband’s height rather than speed for his victory.

She said: “It’s not fair because Josh has longer legs. He can walk at the same place as I jog.”

Josh – who organised a similar event after Haiti was devastated by an earthquake in 2010 – said he wanted to do something more than just “writing a cheque”.

He explained: “I just wanted to do something. When everything happened in Haiti last January, more than just writing a cheque out I felt this overwhelming want and need to actually pitch in and nobody could get there.

“Seeing some of the images coming out of Japan, I’d never seen anything like it. To hear about all the people who are missing and then everything that is going on with the nuclear plants.”

Paris and Nicky Hilton were also at the event to support the charity and help Fergie celebrate her birthday.

“We love Japan, we’ve been going there and doing business since we were teenagers, it’s always been a place close to our heart and we have a lot of friends out there.”

Nicky added: “We’ve known Josh forever, and it’s Fergie’s birthday today.”

David Letterman received the highest honour at the first annual US Comedy Awards on Saturday night (26.03.11)

The 63-year-old talk show host picked up the Johnny Carson Award for Comedic Excellence at the ceremony at the Hammerstein Ballroom in New York City.

Although David received the biggest accolade of the night, his series ‘The Late Show With David Letterman’ lost out to ‘The Daily Show With Jon Stewart’ in the Best Late Night Comedy Series category.

Other winners included Alec Baldwin, who picked up the gong for Best Comedy Actor in TV for his performances in ‘30 Rock’ and Tina Fey who was named Best Comedy Actress in Film for her role in ‘Date Night’.

‘Shrek’ star Eddie Murphy took home one of the top honours of the night when he was named Comedy Icon for his stand-up and movie career which has spanned over three decades.

TV show ‘Modern Family’ picked up two prizes, for Best Comedy Series and Best Comedy Directing in TV, while ‘30 Rock’ was recognised for Best Comedy Writing in TV

‘Saturday Night Live’ star Kristen Wiig was the winner in the Best Comedy Actress in TV category for her hilarious skits – which include her famous Miley Cyrus impersonation – and Zach Galifianakis was named Comedy Actor in Film for ‘Dinner for Schmucks’.

The winners were selected by a body of invited members of the comedy community, including Billy Crystal and Whoopi Goldberg, Joan Rivers and Chris Rock.

TV network Comedy Central hosted the event and it will be broadcast on April 10.

Gemma Arterton feels “intimidated” on the sets of big Hollywood films

The British actress has revealed she is much more comfortable working on projects that are smaller and less expensive, admitting she felt “a bit lost” when she starred opposite Jake Gyllenhaal in ‘Prince of Persia’ because she didn’t feel close to anyone.

She explained: “With ‘Prince of Persia’ I was intimidated. I like to have a relationship with everyone on set, as much as I can, because I’m from the theatre world where you know everyone.

“On that there were people who were, like, heads of departments, who I never met, ever, because it was so big. Sometimes I felt a bit lost.”

The 25-year-old beauty went on to admit that she has been guilty of succumbing to typical Hollywood behaviour herself by having a tantrum but has since realised that she shouldn’t waste her time worrying about the fickle business.

She explained to The Sunday Telegraph’s Seven magazine: “I’ve shouted and stomped my feet, which is fine, but I think I was just wasting my energy there because it’s not really going to change. It has always been like that, you know, Hollywood.”

The ‘St Trinian’s’ star went on to say that Hollywood studios are preoccupied with making money but she’s more interested in the art of making the films.

She said: “There’s a lot more at stake in big Hollywood productions in terms of money, and ratings, and things like that, which I’ve never been bothered with. Like, don’t worry about, Just make the film.”
