The 24-year-old actress – who is dating musician Ali Love and previously dated The Kooks singer Luke Pritchard and oil heir Brandon Davis – insists she was nothing like Marissa Cooper, the wild child character she played in TV drama ‘The O.C.’ for three years until 2006.

She said: “I hadn’t had sex ever. I was a virgin. I was a very late bloomer and I was terrified of men.

“I was in no rush to kiss a boy and I was in no rush to get a boyfriend because once you go down that road you don’t go back.”

Though Mischa was terrified of men, she is now happy and content in her relationship with 31-year-old Ali.

She added to Tatler magazine: “He’s lovely and he’s a genius. He can do anything. He can do country, rock, whatever, but most of what he does has been electronica.”

Reese Witherspoon has bought Steven Segal’s former house for $7 million

The Oscar-winning actress is moving out of the marital home she shared with her ex-husband Ryan Phillippe - who she split from in 2007 and with whom she has two children, daughter Ava, 11, and seven-year-old son Deacon – and is heading to the lavish Los Angeles property which belonged to the action star.

The property is located in a gated community in the Brentwood area of the city and boasts seven bedrooms, nine bathrooms and a swimming pool.

The 6,125 sq ft home is located on acres of plush land and also comes complete with its own Buddhist temple – which ‘Under Siege’ actor Segal, a committed Buddhist, used for meditation.

Reese’s new neighbours include a host of famous names, such as talk show host Chelsea Handler, actor-turned-politician Arnold Schwarzenegger and Gisele Bundchen and her husband Tom Brady.

It looks like Heidi Klum and her husband Seal are set to become new residents as well.

The couple reportedly had an offer accepted for a property located in the same Brentwood Country Estates gated community in Mandeville Canyon worth $13.4 million.

The house boasts eight bedrooms, a kitchen complete with a fireplace dating back to 1603 which was imported from Scotland and a library fireplace which is allegedly from late military leader Napoleon’s farmhouse in France.

Kate Winslet is moving her children Joe and Mia back to the UK while her estranged husband Sam Mendes films the new James Bond movie

The Oscar-winning actress – who announced she was splitting from the director in March 2010 – thinks it wouldn’t be “fair” to deprive him of seeing his seven-year-old son and 10-year-old stepdaughter from a previous relationship and will take them to London so he isn’t far from them.

Kate – who currently lives in New York City – said: “Sam is doing the next Bond film, all being well, and we’ll all be in England if that happens.

“It’s such a massive commitment for him and it’s not fair for him to commute backwards and forwards to New York from London. It would be impossible. The children will be there with me.”

Discussing their split, the 35-year-old British screen beauty insists she and Sam are still good friends who have a lot of “respect” for each other.

After he makes the James Bond adventure, Kate could even see her working with the 45-year-olf filmmaker again, following the critical success of their 2008 movie ‘Revolutionary Road’.

She added to the Daily Mail newspaper: “I can see us working together again – that’s the way it is.

“We’re really good friends and have very good respect for each other. I can see it, but you’d have to ask Sam what he thinks.”

Last month, Kate called time on her relationship with model Louis Dowler after four months of dating, reportedly thanking him for helping her get over her split with Sam.

In a joint interview with her sisters Kim and Kourtney Kardashian, she told KIIS-FM DJ Ryan Seacrest: “He asked me, ‘Can’t we just put two in there?’ He’s crazy, he thinks it’s like that easy.”

Kim – who has recently been romantically linked with model Gabriel Aubry – also admitted to the presenter that she is currently dating someone, despite previously saying she wanted to remain single after splitting from NFL stars Reggie Bush and Miles Austin earlier this year.

She said: “I really do want to stay single but it’s really hard when you meet amazing people, and gorgeous people. I’m dating – I’m definitely dating.”

Though Ryan didn’t directly ask Kim if she was dating Gabriel, he queried whether she would like to meet Halle Berry, the mother of the Canadian hunk’s two-year-old daughter Nahla.

Kim replied: “She’s beautiful… I may – I don’t know.”

The 30-year-old beauty also laughed off the constant scrutiny of her love life, insisting that whenever she steps out with a man, she is not necessarily romantically involved with them.

She said: “If I’m photographed on five different dates, it’s assumed I am the town slore, and I could have never hooked up with any of these people.

Justin Bieber’s mother cancelled his mobile phone after a row

The 16-year-old ‘Baby’ singer likes travelling with his mum Pattie Mallette – who helped launch his career- but they occasionally clash and she recently punished him but cutting off his personal communication device.

He said: “Mom travels with me. We argue yes, I think every parent and son argue, but I love my mom. I think it’s good she travels me, but sometimes I need a break because I’m with her 24/7 but I love her, I like being with her.

“The other day she cancelled my phone plan. We got into an argument about something stupid, and she was like, ‘Give me the phone’ and I was like, ‘No’, so she just went and cancelled it.”

As a result of his mother’s punishment, Justin admits he may miss important calls and messages, including any from his mentor Usher.

He told BBC Radio 1 DJ Fearne Cotton “If Usher wants to get in touch with me? Then it’s tough.”

Although they occasionally clash, it was recently revealed Pattie is pleased about her son’s showbiz career as she believes it has kept him out of trouble.

His manager Scooter Braun said: “I think his mother feels that if they were still in Stratford, Ontario, he’d be getting himself into a lot of trouble.

“Justin doesn’t study the people who made it. He studies the people who haven’t. The general feeling we get is that it had nothing to do with their talent and everything to do with their personal life.

Justin Bieber finds England “depressing”

The Canadian teen singing sensation is presently in the UK to promote his new album ‘My Worlds Acoustic’, but doesn’t get on so well with the cold winter weather or food.

He said: “I couldn’t live here because the weather is very depressing. But I like the girls! The food I don’t like really.”

However, the 16-year-old star enjoys hearing English accents, and thinks they lend themselves particularly well to festive songs.

He explained: “’Rudolph The Red Nose Reindeer’ sounds better in an English accent though.”

As he is currently in Britain, the ‘Baby’ hitmaker stayed up until the early hours of this morning (02.12.10)) in order to hear the Grammy Awards nominations be announced in the US, but after learning he will compete for Best New Artist and Best Pop Album for ‘My World’, he insists his decision to sacrifice sleep was the right one.

He told BBC Radio 1 DJ Fearne Cotton: “I was up until about 5am this morning, straight through. I found out in the middle of the night, at around 3.30am that I’m nominated for two Grammys.

“It’s amazing, I’m so excited. Last night I was just freaking out, because my whole life I’ve just wanted to win a Grammy, now that I have that opportunity it is crazy. I have a good feeling about it, never say never.”

Rebecca Ross, a Hilton & Hyland estate agent who had the listing for the property, has refused to disclose the identity of the buyer but did tell The Hollywood Reporter it had sold for “significantly more than the asking price” of $13.4 million.

She added: “There were multiple buyers interested, so there was a bidding war.”

The lavish property – which was previously owned by an investment banker – was first put on the market in October after failing to sell at a June auction.

Eminem leads the 2011 Grammy nominations, with nods in 10 categories

The ‘Not Afraid’ rapper is in the running for some of the most prestigious prizes at the annual ceremony, including Album of the Year, Song of the Year and Record Of The Year.

Singer-and-songwriter Bruno Mars got the second most nominations when they were announced last night (01.12.10) with seven, while Lady Gaga, rapper Jay-Z and country act Lady Antebellum all scored six.

Bruno – who, among his nominations, is up for Best Male Pop Vocal for his hit ‘Just the Way You Are’ – said: “It’s just been a great year, incredible, incredible year, and I can’t believe this is happening to me.

“We’ve worked so hard trying to make a living doing music and the fact that we’re here right now is incredible, incredible.”

Another track co-written by Bruno – Cee Lo Green’s ‘F**k You’ – was nominated for both Record of the Year and Song of the Year, and Cee Lo said he never realised the track, which was edited to ‘Forget You’ for the radio, would be such a hit.

He said: “It wasn’t meant to be a radio song. It was meant to be something with flair and first impression and it really took on a life of its own, and I had no idea it would become what it is today.”

In the Best Newcomer category, Justin Bieber found himself nominated alongside his fellow Canadian, rapper Drake.

He told LL Cool J – who hosted the nominations show at Club Nokia in Los Angeles: “It feels amazing – I can’t believe I’m in this position! I don’t know what to say!”

Among the performers at the nominations show were Katy Perry - who opened proceedings with ‘California Gurls’ - Justin Bieber, rapper B.o.B and indie group Train.

The 53rd Grammy Awards will take place at the Staples Center in Los Angeles on 13 February 2011.

Taylor Swift and Jake Gyllenhaal have met one another’s families

The ‘Love Story’ singer – who was first romantically linked with the ‘Love and Other Drugs’ star five weeks ago – cancelled Thanksgiving plans with her parents to spend last week’s holiday with her rumoured boyfriend’s relatives, before bringing the actor back to Nashville with her.

A source said: “Jake invited her to New York for Thanksgiving. It wasn’t planned in advance, but she said, ‘Why not? I can do it, and I’m going.’ Her parents weren’t thrilled, but she explained to them that she gets to see them all the time and wasn’t able to spend much time with Jake during the publicity madness.

“She loves his family and he loves hers.”

Though Taylor, 20, was a guest of 30-year-old Jake’s family – including his mother Naomi Foner, sister Maggie Gyllenhaal, her husband Peter Sarsgaard and their four-year-old daughter Ramona – she was more than happy to help out with cooking and household chores.

The source told Us Weekly magazine: “There was no diva behaviour. She pitched in to cook and to clear the dishes. She also seemed very interested in the family and asked them a lot of questions about themselves.”

Kylie Minogue gets criticised by her sister

The ‘Better Than Today’ singer wasn’t surprised when her sibling Dannii Minogue was asked to be a judge on UK TV pop star search show ‘The X Factor’ in 2007 because she has always been willing to give people an honest opinion.

She said: “Dannii is so honest, she’s perfect for ‘X Factor’. Before she was a judge on the show, she would come to my concerts and I always knew I was going to get a real opinion. Like she’d say, ‘Dancers two and five were off.’ She’d give me a list of things.”

Despite being willing to take criticism from her sister, Kylie admitted she can be a diva.

Asked if she ever requested her entourage call her ‘Ms. Minogue’, she told more! magazine: “Oh that’s a no. I need to be more of a diva. I promise I’ve got my diva stripes in other areas. I’ve had every possible hairdo ever.”

Jake Gyllenhaal feels honoured to reach 30

The actor – who is rumoured to be dating singer Taylor Swift – reaches the milestone age on December 19 and rather than be worried about getting older he is excited about seeing what the future holds.

He said: “I feel good about it. I’m excited. It’s like the closing of a chapter of one part of my life and into another. It’s kind of an honour to get to 30.

“I’ve finally realised I really enjoy being in my own skin. So it’s given me the opportunity to realise what I like. You pass through all different stages.

Jake shot to fame after appearing in breakthrough movie ‘Donnie Darko’ in 2001 and is thrilled that he has a library of films that catalogues how he has changed in recent years.

He added to Total Film magazine: “I have different movies that are representations of those different times in my life, which is odd. That doesn’t happen to many people, where they get to grow up in movies.”

Jake also admits he is glad he has never got carried away by the trappings of fame and has managed to stay grounded by remaining close to his family and friends.

He said: “I don’t think ignoring it is a bad thing. You’ve got to plug your ears up and tie yourself to the mast and beg the people you love not to untie you.

“But I don’t think anyone is immune to the oddities of these types of things.”
