The couple tied the knot in on Saturday (23.10.10) at the luxury Aman-i-Khas resort in Rajasthan, India, which is located near the Ranthambore National Park – which is the country’s leading tiger park and also home to other wildlife including leopards, deer and exotic birds.

A representative for the newlyweds released a statement saying: “Russell Brand and Katy Perry are overjoyed to confirm that they were pronounced Mr. and Mrs. Brand on Saturday, October 23. The very private and spiritual ceremony, attended by the couples’ closest family and friends was performed by a Christian minister and long-time friend of the Hudson Family. The backdrop was the inspirational and majestic countryside of Northern India.”

Guests are believed to include Katy’s close friend Rihanna, and British comedian David Baddiel and his wife Morwenna Banks.

Heavy security guarded the location of the nuptials and local police officers surrounded the adjacent fields and the resort’s walls.

Cheryl Cole admits 2010 has been the worst year of her life

In the last few months, the pop star has had to cope with splitting from her soccer player husband Ashley Cole and has had to battle back from the brink of death after catching malaria and Cheryl admits she can’t wait to put this torrid time behind her.

She said: “It has been the worst year, the worst in my life ever … You know what I want more than anything? Those last 10 seconds on New Year’s Eve (31.12.10), ’10, 9, 8 … 2011!’ I’m going to scream them.

“I’m going to shout them out. I’m going to call everybody I love and just welcome the New Year and the new start.”

As ill as she was in hospital with malaria – which she caught during a vacation to Tanzania – Cheryl admits nothing has caused her as much pain as her divorce from Ashley.

The 27-year-old singer still feels “raw” from the separation and still can’t understand why the 29-year-old England player – who was caught sending explicit picture messages to other girls from his mobile phone and cheated on her – behaved the way he did.

Cheryl – who is gearing up to release her new album ‘Messy Little Rain Drops’ which is inspired by her tough year – added in an interview with The Sun newspaper: “I will never understand why it happened. Never. I just don’t get it. We still talk – just general stuff. For anybody that’s been through a divorce, it’s the worst thing in the world.

“When you’re heart is breaking … it doesn’t make a difference what car you drive, what house you have, all of that. It’s a minor detail, it’s nothing. Right now it’s still fresh, it hasn’t been that long, it’s still raw. It does make you feel numb. I don’t recognise myself sometimes. It has been non-stop tears, just too much.”

Christina Ricci has confessed she “hated” her body

The ‘Sleepy Hollow’ star – who battled eating disorder anorexia after she was catapulted to fame – couldn’t stand seeing herself in a mirror because she had such low self-esteem about her looks and figure.

Ricci – who shot to fame when she was just 10 after starring in ‘Mermaids’ alongside Cher, Winona Ryder and Bob Hoskins – explained: “For years, I hated myself. I covered the mirrors in my house. I literally couldn’t have a mirror in my room.”

Even though she has got over her body issues, Ricci, 30, still doesn’t like to see her reflection in a mirror.

She added: “I still can’t sit in a restaurant or someplace where I can catch my reflection. I get so paranoid.”

One role that helped her deal with her body hang-ups was her part in 2007 film ‘Black Snake Moan’ – in which she starred opposite Samuel L. Jackson and had to appear for most of the movie in only her underwear.

She explained: “For that, I needed to lose any self-consciousness because I feel sometimes you can see that in a nude scene.”

Ricci’s latest project sees her voice a character in new animated film ‘Alpha And Omega’.

She can also be seen in ‘After.Life’ with Liam Neeson and ‘Bel Ami’ alongside Uma Thurman and Robert Pattinson later this year.

Lindsay — Work Can Be Hazardous to Her Health

Lindsay Lohan’s management team is already lining up projects for the actress as soon as she steps out of rehab in 2011 … but LiLo’s closest friends are concerned that rushing her back into the spotlight could be a dangerous move.

Sources close to Lindsay tell TMZ, Lohan’s team has been devouring movie scripts, furiously setting up meetings, and organizing fashion projects, all in anticipation of LiLo’s release from rehab — January 3, 2011.

But one friend tells us the people who still care about LiLo’s well-being feel that she “shouldn’t be working the first week. She shouldn’t be working the first couple months. She needs to be attending daily meetings to stay on track for sobriety.” Another adds, “Lindsay needs to focus on herself for some time.”

As we previously reported, LiLo has recently expressed concern about her career and her crumbling fashion line. But according to her probation officer, Lindsay also acknowledged that her “lifestyle” is filled with temptation.

Fortunately, Lindsay will have a couple of months to think about her next move.

Mystery Group Begs Judge — Don’t Jail T.I.

New court documents have just been filed in an attempt to keep T.I. out of the slammer — and instead move him into a rehab program … problem is, T.I. has absolutely no idea who made the request.

A ticked off citizen filed documents in federal court in Atlanta, arguing that the courts are pissing away tax dollars by jailing T.I. for a recent drug possession arrest … so the person filed a motion to toss out the jail sentence.

The mystery person identifies him or herself as “Citizens of the State of Atlanta Georgia – they even provided a signature …

Neither T.I.’s people nor the prosecution have any idea what the group is … besides being an organization of some kind that failed geography class.

T.I.’s lawyer, Steve Sadow, tells TMZ that despite the well-intentioned gesture — he has no plans to appeal the judge’s sentence.

PS — We spoke to the guy T.I. talked off the ledge the other day … he swears this isn’t his doing.

Amanda Tapping (born 28 August 1965 in Rochford, Essex) is an English-born Canadian actress, producer and director. She is best known for portraying Samantha Carter in Stargate SG-1 and Stargate Atlantis. Currently she stars as Dr. Helen Magnus in the Syfy Channel series Sanctuary.

Amanda appeared in several television commercials and played a variety of roles in television and film productions, such as The Outer Limits and The X-Files. She also formed a comedy troupe, the “Random Acts”, with collaborators Katherine Jackson and Anne Marie Kerr, in Toronto in the early 1990s.

The show consists of 26 episodes over 2 seasons, which expanded on an original show released on the internet in 2007 as a series of eight webisodes, where the bulk of the scenery and characters are entirely green screen and CGI creations. Tapping serves as both star and executive producer of the show. Sanctuary has been renewed for a third season due to air during fall of 2010. Amanda won a Canadian Comedy Award for Best Actress for her role in the short film Breakdown in 2007.

Fun fact — Liam Neeson’s rep is also Mel Gibson’s rep … and judging by the statement he just released about Liam’s role in “The Hangover 2″ — there’s still some bitterness over the unceremonious Gibson firing.

Moments ago, the rep — Alan Nierob — confirmed that Neeson is all locked up to appear in the upcoming sequel … but added, “Pending clearance of cast and crew and background check.”

Nierob was clearly kidding … referencing the behind-the-scenes uprising that led to Mel’s departure … but the message behind his message — he ain’t happy.

Lohan’s Court Attire: Thumbs Up!

While Lindsay Lohan’s courtoom attire has been scrutinized in the past for being inappropriate—think overly stylish and revealing—the ensemble she wore this morning to court in L.A., is receiving a thumbs up from those in the know.

Lindsay—who will avoid jail for now, and stay in rehab at Betty Ford until January–wore a black blazer, light gray V-neck top, denim jeans, heels and a Chanel handbag, all of which trial consultant Sarah Murray says conveyed the right message. “She’s dressed in a way that is stylish to her audience, but it’s very careful and respectful at the same time,” says Murray, who works at San Francisco-based Trial Behavior Consulting.

Murray adds, “She chose subdued colors, which is always good in front of a judge, and her outfit suggests she is not depressed because she looks well put together.”

And even Lohan’s hair sent the message that she was ready for whatever ruling the judge was going to make. “Another plus, was that her hair was pulled back in a ponytail not to hide her face. By doing this it shows she’s putting herself forward, to face her ruling.”

Staub to Bev Hills: Keep It Real!

As last night’s episode demonstrated, “The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” is continuing to ratchet up the drama. And Danielle Staub, the former rabble-rousing star of “The Real Housewives of New Jersey,” has some advice for her West Coast peers: Buckle up, girls, it’s going be a bumpy ride!

“I want to say, in particular, to my friend Lisa [Vanderpump] is good luck to you and keep that seatbelt on real tight and buckle up, because you don’t know how [Bravo] is going to twist and turn the roller coaster ride,” Staub tells TooFab’s David Caplan. “Enjoy it, and keep someone who is a friend—not on the show!—by your side, and know who your friends are.”

Staub continues, “Lisa is actually a friend of mine. She’s extremely grounded. She is who I will be saying the best things about. In fact, Lisa wants me to keep an eye on her. I told her to keep it real, and don’t worry about anything else. If you keep it real, everyone will see eventually that you’re real.”

As for Paris Hilton’s aunt, Kyle Richards, Staub says, “She’s nice as well. I want to say to both she and Lisa, that they are about to embark on an amazing adventure, it’s just the beginning.”

Staub says “The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” stars are legitimately wealthy, unlike her former castmates. “Those girls have some serious money, not like the fake money the girls on New Jersey had. You won’t be seeing any bankruptcies, foreclosures or fraud.” And it’s that wealth, that Staub says will attract viewers. “I think what the world is ready to see, is the opening of doors into a world that most people don’t see. It’s unrealistic amounts of money so people will tune into it. That’s why I’m going to watch!”

And Staub doesn’t expect the women to get into trouble with the law. “You won’t be seeing any DUIs! If they get wasted, they’re going to have a driver take them home!”

Michael Lohan — Scarface

TMZ has obtained photos of Michael Lohan’s slash wounds on his neck and arm — which he claims he suffered during an attack outside of his Santa Monica home late last night.

Michael claims his attacker used a “sharp object” to slice through his flesh. Judging from the overlapping scratches on his neck — the suspect either took two swipes at Mike’s head … or used two sharp objects.

So far, the suspect is still on the loose. Cops are investigating.

Dina Lohan — ‘Beyond Excited’ Over Judge’s Decision

Sources close to Dina Lohan tell TMZ … Lindsay’s mother was shocked when she heard the judge order LiLo to rehab … because even Dina thought Lindsay was 100% jail-bound.

We’re told Dina and her other children are all “beyond excited” that Lindsay will be able to get the help she wants at Betty Ford … because “everyone thought she would be sentenced to jail for 30 days.”

As we just reported, Lindsay must remain in rehab until January 3.

Brett Favre Investigation — All in Sterger’s Hands Now

The NFL investigation into the Brett Favre sexting scandal is at a standstill until the league can prove Brett sent the penis pics in question … which will be impossible without Jenn Sterger’s help.

A source with detailed knowledge of the NFL investigation tells TMZ when officials met with Favre on Tuesday the “send” question was the main topic — because, we’re told, the league is only looking at this as a workplace harassment issue … and not a matter of personal conduct.

But here’s the, uh… rub — league officials need Sterger’s phone to prove Favre sent the crotch shots directly to the former NY Jets stadium reporter. A source close to Sterger tells us she still has the original messages — allegedly sent by Favre — and has turned them over to her attorney Joseph Conway.

We spoke to Conway today who says, “We just spoke to the NFL. We are continuing our dialogue, and all options are still on the table.”

So, will Sterger give the NFL what it needs? Stay tuned …

Ex-MGM owner Kirk Kerkorian is used to writing big checks, so it may only come with a wince that he has to pay $100,000 a month in child support — for one kid!

Ker korian — who had one of the nastiest and richest divorces ever from ex-wife Lisa Kerkorian — has been fighting Lisa’s bid to drastically increase support for their 12-year-old daughter.

So who woulda thunk? Kirk and Lisa settled … and TMZ has obtained a copy of the agreement, in which Kirk agreed to double the current monthly support, which had previously been set at $50,000.

Child support king Michael Trope managed to squeeze out an additional $10,250,000 in retroactive child support for his client, dating back to 2002.

And here’s the most incredible part — Kirk may not even the biological daddy.

Lindsay Lohan: Rehab Could Kill My Career

Lindsay Lohan told her probation officer that continued, inpatient treatment would be a hardship financially, and damaging to her career … this according to Probation Department docs obtained by TMZ.

It’s pretty stunning that Lindsay said this, since inpatient rehab was her only hope of staying out of jail.

The documents, prepared for today’s hearing, say, “The defendant says her clothing line is falling apart because she is not available to monitor the product.” She told the probation officer she’s scheduled to start working on a movie in November — we’re guessing it’s “Inferno” but the director tells us he will wait for her.

Although Lindsay says she thinks rehab has been a positive experience, the person who wrote the report says she “needs to continue to work on her issues in order to save her life.”

‘Cake Boss’ — I Ain’t Changing My Name

“Cake Boss” star Buddy Valastro will get to keep his famous nickname — after settling a big, fat lawsuit with a software company which claimed Buddy ripped off its copyright.

A rep for TLC tells us the network just reached a “confidential settlement” with Masters Software Inc. – which claimed it had been selling a cake management computer program for bakers also named “CakeBoss” … and they started long before Buddy’s show came along.

But now that the two sides hammered out a deal — we’re told Masters will continue to use CakeBoss for its computer software and TLC will continue to use the name for the show and for merchandising.

Jessica Alba rebelled from her “strict” parents when she was just five

The 29-year-old actress admits her Catholic upbringing made her want to “break away” from her mother Catherine and father Mark.

She explained: “It’s always been weird because I grew up in a very traditional, Catholic household. My parents were very strict but I broke away from that at an early age. I was a feminist when I was five. These days, I am much more liberal-minded bit I still respect their beliefs.”

As Jessica has grown older she has learnt to accept her parents’ views, but still considers herself an independent woman.

In her latest film ‘Machete’ Jessica gets to stab a love rival in the eye with her stiletto heels, something she thoroughly enjoyed.

She said: “Walking in 3in heels wasn’t as much fun as putting one in someone’s eye. It was 104 degrees where we were shooting in Texas and they were not comfortable.”

Jessica – who has a two-year-old daughter Honor with husband Cash Warren - is regularly referred to as one of the world’s most beautiful women, but she doesn’t think of herself as “sexy”.

She added in an interview with the Metro newspaper: “I don’t really pay attention to that sexy image. It just goes with the character in the movie. At the end of the day, it’s all a part of selling a product.”

The 20-year-old singer admits the British singer and country crooner Emmylou Harris are her biggest idols because they have had long careers but never given away more than they need to and maintain “grace”.

She said: “McCartney and Emmylou are people who have maintained careers of longevity and also grace.

“They’ve taken chances, but they’ve also been the same artist for their entire careers.”

The ‘Love Story’ hitmaker is also a fan of creating autobiographical albums, meaning anyone she dates cannot be sure a song about them won’t end up on an album.

She told the USA Today newspaper: “I’ve never been shy about the fact that if you enter my life, you are basically willingly entering an album.”

Taylor – who has famously dated Joe Jonas and Taylor Lautner – recently revealed she is comfortable with her single status and rarely gets lonely.

Kat Von D Threatens ‘Ink’ Producers Over Nikki Sixx

Kat Von D just went nuclear on the producers of her reality show “L.A. Ink” – threatening a legal war over several scenes that feature Kat trash-talking her on-again boyfriend Nikki Sixx.

Sources close to the production tell us … Kat went ballistic on producers earlier this week when she viewed screeners of some upcoming episodes of “Ink” … which contained several scenes featuring Kat going off about her then ex-boyfriend Nikki Sixx.

Here’s the problem — the footage was shot a while ago, while Kat was dating Jesse James … and back then, she still harbored some ill-feelings toward Nikki.

But now, Kat and Nikki are back together — and when Kat previewed the footage from the upcoming episodes, which contained the anti-Nikki smack talk, we’re told Kat “freaked out.”

We’re told Kat demanded producers re-edit the show ASAP — removing all negative Nikki references and killing a storyline involving a “Nikki vs. Jesse” theme … or else she would file legal papers in an attempt to stop the show dead in its tracks.

In the end — we’re told producers begrudgingly obliged and Kat’s comments will never see the light of day.

Hypocrisy On ‘The Hangover 2′ Set

Looks like it was your garden-variety peer pressure that torpedoed Mel Gibson’s cameo on “The Hangover 2.”

Multiple sources connected with the production tell TMZ … director Todd Phillips cast Mel in the role of a tattoo artist a month ago and that the entire cast and crew knew about it and were simpatico.

The problem came three days ago, when a story leaked that Mel would be shooting a scene for the flick. Our sources say the friends of some of the cast and crew started putting pressure on them to lodge sudden, last-minute displeasure with Phillips’ choice.

Our sources say some of the production people became belatedly upset because they were getting so much crap from friends, so they began objecting. One of the loudest, we’re told, was Zach Galifianakis.

There were other people in the cast and crew who also were making noise about walking off the set if Mel showed up. Our sources say Bradley Cooper was not among the group who complained.

So the day before Mel was supposed to shoot, Phillips pulled the plug.

As one person connected with Mel told TMZ, “It’s such hypocrisy. They cast a convicted rapist [Mike Tyson] but 86′d Mel.”

Kim Kardashian thinks its “ridiculous” a New York nightclub wants to give her a $1 million birthday cake

The ‘Keeping Up with the Kardashians’ star – who turned 30 yesterday (21.10.10) – has hit out at plans by GLO nightclub to create a cake scattered with diamonds for her to enjoy.

Kim insists the money should go to help homeless people in ‘The Big Apple’.

She said: “First of all, this is the first I’ve heard about this, and I would never allow anyone to spend that much money on cake.

“Making a million dollar birthday cake is just ridiculous! I’d rather they gave me a cupcake and donate the rest of the money to the homeless.”

She has also denied the event – which is expected to have 2,000 guests – has been organised by her as she has already had her birthday party in Las Vegas.

She told RadarOnline.com: “I’ve already had my birthday club celebrations at Tao in Vegas and NYC and there are no other birthday parties planned.”

Danielle Orsino, who does the public relations for the New York nightspot, confirmed the cake was being made as a “fun surprise”.

She said: “The restaurateur and jeweller wanted to break the record for the most expensive cake and they wanted to surprise Kim.

“They’ve been working so hard on it and still want to present it to the public, of course they won’t force her to accept it, it was just meant to be a fun surprise.”
