‘Bruno’ Accused of Attack at Gay Marriage Rally

Sacha Baron Cohen is accused of participating in an alleged attack on a gay cameraman at a gay marriage rally in Los Angeles back in 2008.

A photog named Mike Skiff – a gay cameraman who covers “events involving the gay community” – claims he was at a Prop 8 rally in 2008 when the crew from “Bruno” arrived on the scene with an intention to “promote violent discord between the assembled ‘yes’ and ‘no’ factions.”

According to the lawsuit, filed today in L.A. County Superior Court, members of the “Bruno” crew “carried ‘Yes on Proposition 8′ signs contrived for the sole purpose of inciting and sparking unrest to enhance the dramatic effect of what they may capture for their film.”

In the suit, Skiff claims he began to shoot the “Bruno” team when they approached him — “violently confronting [Skiff] with the threat of being clubbed with wooden signs.” Skiff says the alleged attack was designed to prevent him from filming the event.

Skiff claims he was shoved, pulled and wrestled — causing serious injury.

Skiff is suing for unspecified damages.

Jodie Sweetin’s Ex — I’m No Video Game Junkie

Ex-child star Jodie Sweetin’s tell-all memoir just got her hit with a lawsuit from her ex-husband — who wants to make this clear … he’s not a bad father and he does more than play video games.

Cody Herpin filed the suit claiming the former “Full House” star’s book “UnSweetined” depicts him in a “false light” – as “lazy, unwilling to provide and support his family, uncaring, vindictive, unsupportive and disinterested” in Jodie’s pregnancy.

In the papers — filed in L.A. County Superior Court — Herpin includes a book passage where Jodie says, “During the day, the baby was 100 percent my responsibility. Cody, meanwhile, played video games.”

And there’s this excerpt where Jodie talks about recovering from C-section surgery — and claims Cody “would try to make me laugh because he knew it hurt when I laughed. That and video games were his two forms of entertainment.”

Herpin is also suing the book’s publisher Simon & Schuster. Jodie’s rep had no comment.

Charlie Sheen — No Rehab for Now

Charlie Sheen … is back home, acknowledging he screwed up in New York City, but has no plans to return to rehab … sources connected with the actor tell TMZ.

People who have direct contact with Charlie tell us … he knows he messed up early Tuesday morning but wants to “move on.”

Charlie went home Tuesday night after landing in L.A., and his plan in the next two days is to nail the 4 pages of dialogue for a small movie role he’s doing for a friend.

After that, it’s on to “Two and a Half Men,” which resumes shooting next week.

So no rehab … at least that’s the way Charlie feels tonight.

Charlie Sheen — No Drugs Found in Hotel Room

Cops did not find any evidence of drug use in Charlie Sheen’s NY hotel room early this morning … this according to law enforcement sources.

As we previously reported, cops arrived to Sheen’s hotel room around 2:00 AM after receiving a 911 call for possible intoxication. Sheen reportedly trashed the hotel room.

Charlie’s rep has stated that the whole incident stems from a bad reaction to medication.

Charlie Sheen Will Resume ‘Normal’ Life in L.A.

Charlie Sheen will be sleeping at his L.A. home tonight … shooting a movie Friday … and will be back on the “Two and a Half Men” set a week from today … TMZ has learned.

Sources connected with the actor tell us he’ll fly into L.A. this evening and he’ll go right home. Sheen won’t be staying at Promises in Malibu — where he’s stayed on and off since earlier this year.

People connected with the show tell us … Charlie doesn’t think he needs to go back to rehab, even though some of his friends and associates tell us the situation is pretty desperate.

Cops: Maloof Boozed, Popped Pills and Sped

George Maloof – part owner of the Sacramento Kings and The Palms Casino Resort in Las Vegas — told cops he was under the influence of Ambien and Corona when he sped down a Vegas street and lost control of his car earlier this month.

TMZ has obtained the police report, which says Maloof was going 72 MPH in a 45 MPH zone when he lost control of his vehicle trying to make a left turn and drove into oncoming traffic.

Maybe more significant — Maloof told cops he popped an Ambien 20 minutes before losing control. Oh yeah, he also said he had 4 Coronas.

Maloof’s blood alcohol level was .091 — which exceeded the legal limit and does not account for the Ambien reaction.

One final thing, in the report, the officer said to Maloof, “Without looking at your watch, do you know what time it is?”

The cop says, “[Maloof] looked down at both wrists, before saying, ‘I don’t know.’”

As we first reported, Maloof was arrested on October 9 in Las Vegas — and was booked for DUI, speeding, making an illegal left turn, driving without a valid license and having no proof of insurance.

Eva Longoria & Tony Parker Sued in BMW Smashup

Eva Longoria and her NBA star hubby Tony Parker just got sued for negligence by a driver who claims Eva swerved out of control in her BMW and slammed into his Bimmer on Hollywood Boulevard.

The accident happened last week, and in the lawsuit — just filed in L.A. Superior Court — Roman Gasparyan claims he was in the median, waiting to make a left turn when Eva … driving in the opposite direction … “made a sudden lane change into the median lane” and collided with him.

According to the suit, both Eva and Roman were driving BMW X5s – his a 2002, hers a 2010. In addition to the SUV damage, he claims he suffered mental and physical suffering — and he’s suing for unspecified damages.

By the way, Tony Parker was not involved in the accident, but the three-time NBA champ is the registered owner of the BMW. Eva, through her rep, has denied any fault.

Charlie Sheen’s people are getting a private jet fueled and ready to take off from New York — with one Charlie Sheen as a passenger … TMZ has learned.

As for where Charlie is going once he lands in L.A. — It’s not clear, but he’s been staying on and off at the Promises Treatment Center in Malibu for months.

Charlie Sheen’s Friends Feared He Would Die

Charlie Sheen has been hanging out with some “bad people” over the last few months — and some people who were trying to save him felt he might die … this according to multiple sources connected to the actor.

Our sources say Sheen — who is currently hospitalized after a drinking binge that ended with Charlie allegedly trashing his NYC hotel room — has been having renewed substance abuse problems since August, shortly after he entered his guilty plea in the Aspen domestic violence case.

We’re told several people came into Charlie’s life soon after the court case ended that took him “in a bad direction.” We’re told when Charlie was at the Playboy mansion in August, he was already drinking again.

One source who has been working with Charlie recently says he’s been “a tortured soul for months” and his friends openly talked about how they feared for his life. Another source very close to Charlie echoed the fear that Charlie’s most recent downturn could end tragically.

Woman in Sheen’s Room Locked Herself in Bathroom

The woman who was with Charlie Sheen when he allegedly trashed his hotel room says they were drinking before Charlie allegedly trashed the room, and she was so scared she locked herself in a bathroom and called security … sources connected with the investigation tell TMZ.

We’re told police were close to arresting Charlie for disorderly conduct but did not because he voluntarily agreed to cooperate and go to the hospital.

Charlie Sheen Hospitalized

TMZ has learned … Charlie Sheen was hospitalized last night.

We’re told he was in New York City when there was some sort of medical emergency, and Charlie was taken to a local hospital.

We’re now told at 2:07 AM, emergency dispatch received a 911 call for possible intoxication. Charlie was taken to New York Hospital at 2:30 AM. Police sources says Charlie went voluntarily and that Charlie was “emotionally disturbed.”

Charlie Sheen: 8 Days From Completing Probation

Charlie Sheen is just 8 days away from completing his probation in his Aspen domestic violence case, and the D.A.’s Office tells TMZ it’s already aware of the New York incident.

Charlie pled guilty to assault back in August and was placed on 3 months probation. If he violates probation, the Aspen D.A. could go back to court and ask the judge to throw Charlie in jail.

Prosecutor Arnie Mordkin tells TMZ, his office would not take any action unless there are facts conveyed to his office showing that a probation violation occurred.

Sheen may have dodged a bullet. He was not arrested, but cops came close. We’re now told when police arrived to Charlie’s Plaza hotel room, they told him he needed to go to the hospital. Charlie said he did not want to go and he was fine. At that point we’re told the police gave Charlie an option — go to the hospital or go to jail. Charlie wisely chose door number 1.

Michael Jackson is the highest earning dead celebrity of the past year.

The ‘Thriller’ singer – who died in June 2009 from an acute overdose of the anaesthetic Propofol – has earned $275 million since his death, putting him at the top of Forbes list of the Top Earning Dead Celebrities.

Michael’s earnings were more than the other 12 people on the list combined, including Elvis Presley and John Lennon, thanks to the “shrewd negotiations” of his estate.

Forbes said: “Jackson’s posthumous earnings have been bolstered by shrewd negotiations by his estate, including a merchandising deal and the rights to his name and likeness for the Sony film ‘This Is It’, which grossed over a quarter of a billion dollars.”

‘Hound Dog’ singer Elvis came second in the list with earnings of $60 million, while ‘Lord of the Rings’ writer J. R. R Tolkien was third with $50 million.

Discussing Elvis – who died in 1977 – Forbes said: “His portfolio of more than 200 licensing and merchandise deals got a nice boost from the late star’s 75th birthday celebrations. Commemorative events included Graceland exhibits, touring tribute concerts and an Elvis-themed cruise to the Bahamas.”

Other deceased stars in the list of 13 include ‘The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo’ author Stieg Larsson and scientist Albert Einstein.

Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart have become avid fans of playing board games

The couple host “game nights” on the set of their new movie ‘The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn’ challenging each other to games of family favourites including chess, Monopoly and Scrabble.

The competitive duo – who play lovers in the hit vampire series – have also invited co-stars Taylor Lautner and Ashley Greene to join them to beat the boredom during filming breaks.

But Robert, 24, and Kristen, 21, have become so obsessed with winning the games have sometimes ended in rows.

A source told Britain’s The Sun newspaper: “Rob and Kristen have hours to burn on set and have got massively into board games.

“It gets competitive. There have been tantrums over snakes and ladders.”

Kristen’s enthusiasm for board games will come as no surprise to Robert who has admitted he fell for the star because she is so down-to-earth.

The heartthrob actor – who stars as vampire Edward Cullen opposite Kristen, who plays Bella Swan in the franchise – has praised her for being a “real woman”.

Robert, who has never confirmed they are dating, said: “What I especially like about her is that she’s like me, not dizzy from fans and press attention. She stays true to herself and very smart for her age.”

Daniel Radcliffe only kept Harry Potter’s glasses as a memento from series of films

The 21-year-old actor recently finished shooting the final scenes of ‘Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows’, the seventh and last of the films based on the eponymous boy wizard whom he has played for 10 years, and said his prop glasses were the only thing of sentimental value he wanted to keep.

He told fan website HPANA: “I’ve got two pairs of glasses. One from the seventh film, which were lensless.

“And also I have a pair with lenses from the first film which just seem like the tiniest little things now. So it’s very sweet and they both have quite a place in my heart.

“That was the only thing I wanted. I didn’t want the wand, I certainly didn’t want the broom, and so those were the only things I had my heart set on.”

‘Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows’ is split into two parts and Daniel has revealed the first instalment is different to the other films in the series because the well-known characters are taken out of their comfort zone.

He added: “You see these characters stripped of their comfortable, safe surroundings and suddenly just out in the wilderness together.”

The first part of ‘Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows’ will be released on November 19.

Former Food Network Host To Cop a Plea

Juan-Carlos Cruz – the former Food Network host accused of putting a hit out on his wife — will cop a plea today that will land him in jail for years … TMZ has learned.

Cruz — who allegedly hired three homeless guys to kill wife Jennifer Campbell – is scheduled to appear this morning for his preliminary hearing. But our sources say that hearing will not happen. Instead, lawyers for both sides will announce the plea deal.

We’re told Cruz will plead guilty to solicitation of murder. He will agree to substantial jail time, less time served. Cruz has been in jail since May.

The backstory is pretty incredible. TMZ broke the story … Campbell was suicidal because she couldn’t have kids, but could not take her own life because of her religious beliefs. Authorities believe Cruz was going to have his wife killed as an act of mercy and then take his own life.

The plea should go down at 8:30 AM PT.

‘Talent’ Contestant’s Family — We Believe Him

Joe Finley’s family members are rallying behind the “America’s Got Talent” contestant – telling TMZ they “do NOT believe Joe” would ever murder his wife.

Several members of Joe’s family have already contacted each other about the tragic death of Laura Finley — and one rep for the group tells us, “We do not believe Joe would have done this … but neither do we believe [Laura] accidentally died.”

As we previously reported, Laura’s body was found at the bottom of a stairwell at the Millennium Biltmore Hotel in Los Angeles on Saturday morning … Joe was named a person of interest in the investigation.

But the rep tells us, “Joe and Laura had a relationship that many would admire. They were together for over 30 years … We stand behind Joe 100%.”

Joe has denied any involvement in his wife’s death.

Todd Bridges — the guy who played Willis on “Diff’rent Strokes” – was all smiles recently, which is strange … considering the guy was holding the bloody remains of a thresher shark.

Here’s the short of it — we’re told Todd was on a camping trip with his son in Santa Barbara, CA … when a nearby fisherman hooked the predator and needed help hauling it out of the water.

Todd came to the rescue — but the shark must have been pissed … because soon after, it completely lost its head.

Taylor Swift is reportedly dating Jake Gyllenhaal

The 20-year-old country singer and the movie star hunk reportedly spent Sunday (24.10.10) holding hands and looking loved-up whilst on a romantic walk around Brooklyn, New York.

An onlooker told Life and Style magazine: “Taylor and Jake were walking around Park Slope holding hands. They looked like a couple!”

This news comes shortly after Taylor – who has dated ‘Twilight’ star Taylor Lautner and was famously dumped by Joe Jonas over the phone – hit the headlines with her new album ‘Speak Now’, which she claims contains songs aimed at her ex-boyfriends.

She explained: “I will say everything in my music. There’s been extreme joy, extreme pain, extreme curveballs. Sometimes when things impact you so intensely, it takes writing a song to get over them.”

One track on her LP, titled ‘Dear John’, is also heavily rumoured to be aimed at 33-year-old singer John Mayer – who she worked together on a track with last year and was believed to be secretly dating.

The song goes: “Don’t you think I was too young to be messed with? Maybe it’s you and your sick need to give love and take it away.”

She denied it was aimed directly at him, but admitted it was a hard song to release for various personal reasons.

Jake, meanwhile, has been largely single since his relationship with actress Reese Witherspoon ended 10 months ago.

‘Talent’ Contestant Chose Audition Over Missing Wife

Joe Finley was fully aware his wife had been missing for several hours when he chose to go through with his “America’s Got Talent” audition instead of helping police find her … TMZ has learned.

We just spoke to Finley about his wife Laura Finley’s death at the Millennium Biltmore Hotel and his arrest for possession of ecstasy — and he told us a really strange story.

Finley claims he had taken two ecstasy pills and Laura took one around 8:30PM on Friday before they went out partying. Finley says they eventually returned to their room at the hotel and went to bed. He claims he heard Laura get up at around 3AM and leave the room — he says he assumes she was getting ice.

Finley claims when he woke up Laura was not there — and he called hotel security and asked them to page her over the public address system. Oddly, Finley says he then left for his 2PM audition. He claims police approached him on his way to the audition and showed him a picture of Laura’s face with injuries. Finley claims he assumed, at that point, that Laura was dead … though cops didn’t tell him that.

After several hours of questioning, Finley says police allowed him to go to his audition … which he did — even though he admits he thought his wife was dead.

Finley says police interviewed him again after the audition and that’s when he fessed up about taking ecstasy and that he had three more pills in his possession. It’s unclear when exactly police informed Finley that Laura’s body had been found in a stairwell at the hotel.

As we first reported, police are now calling Finley a “person of interest” in Laura’s death.

‘Talent’ Contestant: Someone Killed My Wife

“America’s Got Talent” contestant Joe Finley insists his wife’s death was “not an accident” — telling TMZ, “somebody threw her off that railing.”

Joe tells us he last saw his wife Laura Finley at the Biltmore Hotel in Los Angeles at 3 AM Saturday morning … after the two popped the drug ecstasy

Laura’s body was found at the bottom of a stairwell around 8:30 AM Saturday morning.

Joe was named a person of interest in the death — but tells TMZ he did not murder his wife adding, “100% this was not an accident.”

Joe say cops told him that someone went to the front desk and requested a key to their room at around 1:30 AM.

‘America’s Got Talent’ Winner Settles Suit For Millions

Terry Fator, the puppeteer who signed a 10-year, $100 million contract with The Mirage in Las Vegas after winning “America’s Got Talent,” has just agreed to pay his ex-manager a huge amount of money … TMZ has learned.

John McEntee, who claims he guided Fator’s career after “Talent” and snagged him the plum Mirage job, was going after the puppet master, alleging he’s owed 20% on the $100 mil, plus 20% of other gigs as well.

Our sources say Fator and McEntee just reached a settlement. McEntee will get his commission for the first 5 years of the Mirage deal — which means McEntee just pocketed $10 mil.

In a joint statement, Fator and McEntee tell TMZ they’re happy to bury the hatchet. And Factor gives McEntee props, saying, “I appreciate John’s work on my behalf following my “America’s Got Talent’ win in 2007, including his contributions that were instrumental in bringing my show to the Mirage.”

The Quaid’s Arrest Could Mean Death for Doggie

There was a third Quaid in the car when Evi and Randy were arrested in Canada last week … their beloved pooch Doja … and TMZ has learned he could pay for his master’s sins … with his life.

While Evi and Randy are still “in detention” after being nabbed on an active arrest warrant … we’ve learned Doja has been placed in an animal shelter in Vancouver for the time being.

But Doja’s days could be numbered — because according to Vancouver law, any dog that has been impounded for more than 72 hours becomes city property … and the pound keeper is then given the authority to “destroy, or sell by auction or private sale, an impounded dog.”

We spoke to someone at Animal Control in Vancouver who told us they “make every effort to not put the dogs to sleep” … and generally try to find the animals a home through adoption.

Still, look at this face … someone better act fast.

Eva Longoria — Wasn’t My Fault!

Eva Longoria is firing back — saying any implication she was the one at fault for her car accident last week … is just plain wrong.

As TMZ first reported, the other driver in the accident has lawyered up and says he plans on suing Longoria — claiming the accident was completely her fault.

But a rep for Longoria tells TMZ: “According to the police report, the other driver was clearly at fault AND admitted to fault at the scene of the accident. Longoria’s eyes were NOT red and bloodshot.”

The rep goes on to say, “There is absolutely no truth to this claim, and any indications to the contrary are completely false and untrue. Longoria made no sudden turn, did not violate any traffic violations nor did she make any sudden lane changes. The other driver is clearly trying to make a case where there is none. All charges are frivolous, without merit, and will not hold up in a court of law.”
