Lindsay: Don’t Even Think About a Conservatorship

Lindsay Lohan has made it clear … she will personally go to court and fight like hell if anyone tries to put her under a conservatorship ... sources with first-hand knowledge tell TMZ.

Lindsay is saying no matter where she is — and she’s at Betty Ford right now — she will come to court and go after anyone who tries to create a conservatorship.

But there’s one proviso. Lindsay could end up in rehab for a long time. There could be problems handling Lindsay’s business affairs while Lindsay is otherwise engaged, so there’s a real possibility a trust will be created — at least temporarily — to handle financial matters.

Maid Co. — Meg Whitman’s Maid Lied to Us Too!

The company that Meg Whitman used to hire her maid Nicky Diaz Santillan back in 2000 claims Nicky deceived them about her immigration status before the company referred her over to Meg.

The owners of Town & Country Resources tell TMZ that when Nicky filled out the standard candidate questionnaire, she “indicated she was legally able to work in the United States …. even though Nicky knew she was in the country illegally.

T&CR add … “Further, Nicky provided us and our client with the documents that our client would need to complete the I-9 form as was their legal obligation as an employer.”

The company owners — who claim they only took over in 2008 and had no part in referring Nicky — claim the policy has changed in the past few years … and potential workers must undergo “a rigorous background check, verified by a third party.”

Greg Giraldo Death — Family Pulled Life Support

Greg Giraldo had been in a coma for five days when his family ultimately made the decision to end the comedian’s life … TMZ has learned.

Sources close to the situation tell us Greg had remained in a coma since he overdosed last weekend in New Jersey.

We’re told doctors weren’t able to resuscitate him, and Greg’s family decided to take him off life support yesterday.

Britney Spears — Not-So-Conservative Conservatee

Britney Spears just left court after meeting with the judge in her conservatorship case … and baby’s got back.

Sources tell us … Judge Reva Goetz has discussed ending the conservatorship with the lawyers during the last few court hearings, although no decision has been reached.

Judge Goetz requested the meeting with Britney today, and they had a sit-down in her chambers.

No word on how close the conservatorship is to ending, but we know this clue — someone will file a petition to terminate it.

Mel Gibson Divorce: He Could Pay for His Screwups

Mel Gibson’s 2006 anti-Semitic rant and his 2010 tirades against Blacks, women and others have become an issue in his divorce with Robyn, and it could end up costing Mel big bucks.

As we just reported, Mel’s lawyers have submitted a settlement proposal to Robyn… and her lawyers are “optimistic” they can reach a settlement.

But we’re told there are still outstanding issues, including something called “good will.” It sounds strange, but the good will of a famous person is considered an asset in a marriage — something that has commercial value. In the past Mel had a lot of good will that translated into being able to make movies that people would pay to see.

But after Mel’s 2006 and 2010 rants, the good will has evaporated if not disappeared. As a result … the asset has been greatly devalued.

We’re told one of the issues is whether Mel should have to pay Robyn for squandering his good will.

And the same principle applies to paying spousal support. Mel has an argument that he’s not really making much money anymore so he shouldn’t have to pay support. But there’s a counter-argument — Robyn shouldn’t suffer because Mel screwed up.

Mel and Robyn Gibson — Close to Divorce Settlement

Lawyers for Mel Gibson and Robyn Gibson just had a quick conference call with the judge in their divorce case and they said they are close to a settlement.

Mel’s lawyer, Lance Spiegel, has submitted a property settlement proposal to Robyn’s attorney, disso-queen Laura Wasser.

Wasser said she’s mulling it over with Robyn and is “optimistic.” Wasser says she should have an answer next month as to whether Robyn will accept Mel’s property settlement offer.

Sources tell us … the divorce is “amicable” and there’s no real fight over how the property in their nearly 30-year marriage will be divided.

Heidi Montag Pulls the Plug on Divorce

TMZ has learned ... Heidi Montag has officially called off her divorce from Spencer Pratt.

The two had been seen out in public together recently — but yesterday, Montag made the reconciliation official, filing a motion for dismissal at L.A. County Superior Court.

As we previously reported, Montag filed for divorce back in July — citing irreconcilable differences.

But now, after the two reunited in Costa Rica to deal with a sex tape scandal — it seems Heidi is once again on board with the whole “til death do us part” thing.

Greg Giraldo’s Would-Be Gig Becomes Memorial

TMZ has learned … the comedy club where Greg Giraldo was scheduled to perform this weekend is now putting together plans for a memorial instead, featuring a tribute to the late comedian’s life.

The manager at Governor’s Comedy Club in Levittown, NY tells TMZ, the memorial is scheduled for Friday at 10:30 PM … exactly when Greg was supposed to take the stage.

We’re told the club will be playing Greg’s DVDs on the televisions — there won’t be any admission fee … and all donations will go to Greg’s family.

The manager tells us, “We just want to commemorate his life.” As we previously reported, Greg passed away yesterday … five days after he was hospitalized for an overdose.

Patient Theft Allegations in Dr. Frank Ryan’s Death

A Beverly Hills plastic surgeon is trying to “steal” the patients of Dr. Frank Ryan – the celeb doc who died in a car accident last month — this according to several of Dr. Ryan’s former patients.

One month after Dr. Ryan died on Pacific Coast Highway, many of his patients received emails from the office of Dr. Gary Motykie — explaining that several of Ryan’s staffers have moved to his “team.” The email also includes an invitation to an open house at his office.

But several of Dr. Ryan’s patients are pissed that Motykie was privy to their contact information — and fired back emails saying things like:

– “I have NEVER met you, nor have I ever authorized you to use my contact information for YOU or anyone else other than Dr Ryan! This is a total breach of confidentiality”

– “This soliciting for business is completely unethical”

– “Dr Ryan would be FURIOUS! Shame on you for trying to steal Dr Ryan’s patients”

While it might be tacky, officials at the Department of Health and Human Services tell TMZ that it’s not a violation of privacy laws to share contact information “as long as it’s for treatment purposes or a doctor referral” — and officials tell us this situation seems to fall under those parameters.

A rep for Dr. Motykie tells TMZ, “The assertion that Dr. Motykie has illegally solicited Dr. Ryan’s former patients is untrue.”

Lindsay Lohan — Rehabbin’ at Betty Ford

TMZ has learned … Lindsay Lohan is undergoing treatment at the famous Betty Ford Center, a legendary and respected alcohol and drug rehabilitation clinic in Rancho Mirage, California.

Lindsay checked in Monday — and as we previously reported, the plan is for her to stay put in rehab at least until her probation violation hearing on October 22.

It’s gonna run Lindsay a pretty penny too — according to their website, 30 days of inpatient care at BF runs $26,000.

Betty Ford has treated scores of celebs — a short list of former patients includes, Keith Urban, Chevy Chase, Elizabeth Taylor, Gary Busey, Johnny Cash, Kelsey Grammer, David Hasselhoff, Mickey Mantle, Liza Minnelli, Ozzy Osbourne, and Anna Nicole Smith.

Paris’ Boyfriend — Cited for Hit and Run

Paris Hilton’s boyfriend was cited for hit and run last night … after he hit a photog in a Bentley and then just drove off.

It all went down as paparazzi swarmed the car as Paris and Cy Waits left Boa in West Hollywood. The posse of paparazzi was all over the car, when suddenly Cy accelerated, knocking a photog down.

The couple took off after the hit and the photog called the cops. Paramedics were also called and took the female photog to a local hospital.

We’re told at some point later, Cy came back, sans Paris, and spoke with police.

Law enforcement sources tell us Cy was cited for hit and run, then allowed to leave.

And get this … sources say Paris is saying, “The pap is making up injuries.”

Taylor Swift finds love “confusing”

The 20-year-old country star – who has dated Taylor Lautner and was famously dumped by Joe Jonas on the phone – struggles to cope with the complexities of dating and relationships and tries to make sense of her romantic life by writing songs inspired by her romantic liaisons.

She said: “Naturally, I want to write songs about love and relationships because I find it find it all very confusing. When I meet someone new I live somewhere between hope and fear. Hope that this time it could be different, and fear that it will turn out like it has before.”

While Taylor admits writing songs about her heartbreak is therapeutic, she feels “vulnerable” when she listens back to the lyrics.

She told America’s OK! magazine: “I’ve written all the songs on it about things that have happened over the last two years, and a lot has happened over the last two years. It’s been very eventful, a lot of adventures and misadventures. I have a lot fun doing this and getting to write songs about what happens in my life, but putting it all out there in your music – all the details – you’re taking a chance with that because you are very vulnerable.”

Taylor also revealed she now hopes to put the Kanye West controversy completely behind her.

At the 2009 MTV Video Music Awards (VMAs), the rapper interrupted Taylor in the middle of her acceptance speech for the Best Female Video prize to tell the audience Beyonce Knowles should have won, resulting in an avalanche of criticism.

Taylor – who, along with Kanye, performed at the 2010 VMAs in September – said: “For me, I felt like performing VMAs was the best way to go out there and sing how I was actually feeling, being there really helped put all that behind me.”

Paris Hilton is to star in a new reality TV show

The hotel heiress is going to let cameras follow her around to prove to the world she is not a typical ‘dizzy blonde’ – a misconception she feels has been portrayed in her previous programmes.

The series will be shown on the Oxygen Channel in the US.

A spokesperson for the project said: “This isn’t ‘The Simple Life’, where she played a campy version of herself. This show will give viewers a glimpse of the real Paris and her life, which is sometimes quite amazing.”

Paris established her TV persona in ‘The Simple Life’, which saw her and her one-time best friend Nicole Richie give up their glamorous lifestyles and try out various jobs, including farm work and cleaning.

The show was hugely successful and ran for five series.

She also hosted reality show ‘Paris Hilton’s My New BFF’, in which she searched for a person to be her Best Friend Forever, filming series in the UK, US and UAE.

Although the Oxygen network has just announced the series, Paris was not being followed by cameras in August, when she was arrested and was later found guilty of cocaine possession in Las Vegas, and her subsequent refusal for entry to Japan as a result of her being on probation.

The network could, however, film Paris when she starts 200 hours of community service, handed to her as part of her sentence for the drug possession.

Justin Bieber has been turned into a toy

The teen singing sensation’s likeness has been turned into two ranges of dolls – the Music Video Collection and the JB Style Collection.

The Music Video Collection sees figures playing 30-second clips from his hit songs ‘Baby’ and ‘One Less Lonely Girl’ and the dolls are dressed in Justin’s outfits from those videos.

The JB Style Collection, features Justin figurines dressed in “street style”, “awards style” and “red carpet style” outfits.

The mini Justin dolls will be released in December.

Justin, 16, is not the first star to be made into a toy.

During the peak of their fame in the 90s, the Spice Girls all had their own figurines, as did Take That and Britney Spears.

Last year, Sienna Miller was turned into an action figure in the guise of her ‘G.I Joe: Rise of the Cobra’ character Baroness.

She said “I’m not sure if I’m going to be playing with my own doll – but I’m going to have happy nieces and nephews, I’m sure.”

British boy band JLS are also set to be immortalised in plastic, with their range of dolls coming out later this year.

Michael Lohan Makes Move for Conservatorship

Michael Lohan will ask a judge to establish a conservatorship for Lindsay Lohan … TMZ has learned.

Michael met with attorney David Chon today and will hire him to file conservatorship papers … Chon specializes in trusts and estates.

We’re told Michael has enough sense to know the judge isn’t going to make him the conservator, so he has two other people in mind … though he’s not saying who.

Michael is saying, he doesn’t want Dina Lohan or Lindsay’s business manager, Lou Taylor, to handle Lindsay’s affairs because “they’re in it for themselves.”

Our sources say Michael plans on filing a petition for conservatorship “within days.”

Tila Tequila is so crazy … just one sex tape isn’t enough. We’ve learned there are two tapes, two different partners with two different sexes, and two porn companies bidding for both.

One of the companies, Vivid Entertainment, wants both the girl-on-girl and guy-on-girl configurations — but another company has already gotten a hold of one of the tapes and is angling for the second.

A source close to the negotiations tells us it’s an all-out porn war to sign Tila and distribute the tapes.

Of course neither company can do anything without Tila’s permission. We’re guessing that won’t be a problem.

Tila tells TMZ, “If anyone out there is trying to leak a private and personal sex tape of me that was not meant for the public, I will swiftly deal with my lawyers!”

Zac Efron wants to be a park ranger

The ‘Charlie St. Cloud’ actor – who has been dating his ‘High School Musical’ co-star Vanessa Hudgens since 2005 – admits he would like a job that kept him outside if he ever decided to turn his back on his movie career.

Asked what he would do if he wasn’t an actor, he said: “I imagine I’d probably go and do something in the outdoors, the wilderness. I had a friend who was a park ranger in Yosemite and that seemed like an awesome job, so something in the outdoors.”

Zac also spoke out to praise his “beautiful and super funny” ‘Charlie St. Cloud’ co-star Amanda Seyfried, admitting she made working on the supernatural drama much easier.

Comedian Greg Giraldo is Dead

Comedian Greg Giraldo died today at the age of 44 – five days after he was hospitalized for an overdose.

Greg had been hospitalized in New Brunswick, NJ after he overdosed on prescription pills last weekend. His rep said the overdose was not a suicide attempt.

Giraldo was best known for his celebrity roast appearances. He had also been a judge on “Last Comic Standing.”

A source close to Greg tells us, “Greg passed away today at the hospital in New Brunswick as a result of an accidental overdose. His family was by his side.”

We’re told plans are being made for a public memorial service.

Meg Whitman: My Maid’s Full of It

Meg Whitman’s campaign just gave us documents suggesting that her former maid, Nicky Diaz Santillan, actually lied to Meg about her immigration status when she was hired back in 2000.

The documents, which Whitman claims Nicky filled out and signed back in 2000 during her application for employment, appear to show that the maid stated under the penalty of perjury that she was a “lawful permanent resident” of the United States.

Whitman also claims Nicky provided her with a social security card and valid California Driver’s License with her employment application … which Meg kept and has now handed over to TMZ.

Whitman has also issued a statement on the matter, saying … “After 9 years of faithful service, Nicky came to us in June 2009 and confessed that she was an illegal worker.” Whitman continues, “Nicky has falsified the hiring documents and personal information she provided to the employment agency that brought her to us in 2000.”

And, Whitman continues, “I believe Nicky is being manipulated by Gloria Allred for political and financial purposes during the last few weeks of a hotly contested election.”

Whitman concludes, “This is a shameful example of the politics of personal destruction practiced by people like Jerry Brown and Gloria Allred. The charges are without merit.”

Photog Puts Foot Down — Sues Skechers for $250 Mil

A famous photographer claims the people at Skechers walked off with tons of his work — exploiting it all over the world … and now dude wants the shoe company to pay up …. to the tune of $250 mil.

The guy behind the lens is Richard Reinsdorf, who shot tons of celebs including Sarah Jessica Parker, Orlando Bloom and Jamie Foxx.

Reinsdorf just filed a federal lawsuit claiming Sketchers hired him to “conduct several highly successful photo shoots from 2006 through last year” — but states there were limits to where and how long Skechers could use his work.

But in his suit, Reinsdorf claims Skechers blew off the agreement and used his work (an example seen above) all over the world … and long past the end date. Now dude wants at least $250,000,000 to make things right.

So far, calls to Skechers have not been returned.

Meg Whitman — Target of ‘Personal Destruction’

Meg Whitman’s camp tells TMZ … they are the target of “personal destruction” and claims the “sleaze machine” on the left is now in overdrive.

Spokesperson Andrea Jones Rivera tells TMZ, “Gloria Allred is a shameful manipulator and the timing of today’s news conference so close to the election should serve as a warning to Californians that they are witnessing dirty political smears at their worst.”

As we first reported, Whitman’s former housekeeper has teamed up with Gloria Allred and plans on making a legal claim stating how she “suffered” while working for Whitman.

Whitman’s camp claims Allred is a Jerry Brown supporter and is “playing shameful politics again.

Meg Whitman’s Housekeeper — ‘Explosive’ Allegations

The former housekeeper for Meg Whitman – the Republican candidate for Governor of California — is about to make “controversial and explosive allegations about her former employer,” TMZ has learned.

We’re told the housekeeper has lawyered up with none other than Gloria Allred. The housekeeper and Allred will hold a news conference today in Gloria’s office at 11 AM PT, “to tell how she suffered as a long-time, Latina household employee in Meg Whitman’s home.

We’re told the housekeeper will be filing a legal claim against Ms. Whitman.

From what we’re hearing, the disclosures could have a significant impact on the campaign and possibly the election.
