The ‘Jonah Hex’ actress – who is engaged to actor Brian Austin Green – insists she would never complain about receiving more attention for her looks than her work as she has not yet given “any reason” to win praise for her movies.

She said: “I’m totally aware that I’ve never given anyone a reason to praise me for my acting talents.

“So to sit here and complain, ‘Why don’t people recognise me as an actress?’ would be outrageous.

“It’s my responsibility to prove that they should.”

The brunette beauty also admitted she rarely reads anything about herself as she fears it would turn her into a “drug-addled lunatic”.

She added to Sky Movies magazine: “I could never be one of those actors who reads everything that is ever written about them.

“That doesn’t work with my personality. I’d be a complete lunatic, probably drug-addled and out of my mind. Instead, I stay in and ignore it.”

The ‘Thriller’ singer died a year ago today (25.06.10) and while his family still miss him desperately she knows he graced the world with his goodness.

She said: “I have to be quite frank with you, Michael was something sent from god. Michael was truly something special from god. You guys never really saw what was really within him, the talent that he truly, truly had, that he only gave you a little bit of it. It’s amazing.

“Michael was so special, he was so different, he was so unusual. He was so loving, he was so caring, he was a father, he was also a mother, he was a brother. He was a giving person…the talent that was there and the love that exuberated from him when you were around him is something that will be greatly missed, especially by those like myself and my family who really knew the real Michael.”

La Toya – who has reiterated her claim Michael was murdered by his physician Dr. Conrad Murray – says his tragic death left the whole family feeling helpless.

She told TV show ‘GMTV’: “It was heartbreaking, heartbreaking because there’s nothing you can do…it’s the most helpless feeling in the world.

“My poor mother, she just sat there with the kids on her lap. She just sat there looking straight ahead. And I could see the pain and the sorrow in her eyes, but she was strong. She chose not to cry. And I think she chose that for the children.”

Michael left behind three children, Prince Michael, 13, Paris, 12, and eight-year-old Prince Michael II, known as Blanket.

Katherine Jackson thinks the father of the boy who first accused Michael Jackson of molestation committed suicide because he knew the allegation was a lie and he had a guilty conscience … this according to the book Katherine is about to release.

In the dedication to “Never Can Say Goodbye” — a copy of which we obtained before its release — Katherine says, “Evan Chandler, the father of Michael’s first accuser, recently committed suicide. Though I can’t comment on why, I want to believe his conscience finally caught up with him and he was not able to live with himself after destroying an innocent person’s career and breaking his spirit.”

TMZ has learned Michael Jackson’s family — minus his mom and his kids — will be making a trek to Forest Lawn Cemetery tomorrow at 11 AM, to pay their respects.

We’re told following the service, there will be a reception at a private estate in Beverly Hills — not too far from where Michael was living a year ago when his heart stopped beating.

Jake Pavelka and Vienna Girardi got together today to tape an interview that ended abruptly when Jake exploded in anger — and a source tells TMZ this isn’t the first time.

Jake and Vienna were talking about their breakup during the taping when Jake lost his temper — and reportedly cocked his arm and made a fist in Vienna’s direction.

A source close to Vienna claims Jake “has a really bad hidden temper. He snaps all the time, it was just the first time he did it in front of people.”

Jake and Vienna had to be separated on the set and the interview was pretty much over before it began.

Jake’s rep hasn’t responded to calls yet. No word if there will be a second take on the interview.

Sylvester Stallone Partners with Gotti Son

TMZ has learned Sylvester Stallone is in serious talks with “Junior” John Gotti to make a movie about his mobster icon father, the late John Gotti.

Sources say Sly will play Gotti, who died in prison in 2002.  The story is based on “Junior” John’s recollections of his tumultuous relationship with his dad.

“The Dapper Don” was the boss of the Gambino crime family – one of the most powerful mafia families ever.

Gotti was convicted in 1992 of committing 13 murders.  “Junior” Gotti was convicted of racketeering and got out of prison in 2005.  He was indicted for racketeering and murder conspiracy in 2008 but the case ended in a mistrial …  and then  “Junior” wrote a children’s book.

As for Sly playing Gotti — good casting, we might add — we’re told the project is far enough along that he’s ready to pick a screenwriter.

Michael Jackson Estate Threatened with Lawsuit

The co-author of a new book on Michael Jackson has threatened to sue the Michael Jackson estate for allegedly trying to discredit the book.

Howard Mann — a businessman who has made money on nude online gambling and nude wrestling — hooked up with Katherine Jackson to create a coffee table book called “Never Can Say Goodbye.“

Estate lawyer Howard Weitzman told TMZ earlier this week, Mann had no right “to exploit any estate assets” and would take “whatever action is necessary to prevent him from unlawfully profiting.”

Mann now tells TMZ, “The comments by the lawyers for the Estate of Michael Jackson are designed to create fear and ambiguity and may impede our ability to maximize the profits that Vintage Pop (the publisher) and the beneficiaries of the Estate are entitled to enjoy.  These actions are torturous interference and will NOT be accepted and will result [in] litigation to recover the damages against our company.”

Weitzman tells TMZ, “The estate will continue to protect its assets when appropriate,” adding, “If Mr. Mann or his attorney want to communicate with me, they can contact me directly.”

Katy Perry has revealed she is soccer widow – because  is so obsessed with the World Cup.

The couple got to spend a rare day off together yesterday (23.06.10) but huge soccer fan Russell was reluctant to go out because he wanted to watch England’s crucial match against Slovenia which they needed to win to progress in the tournament in South Africa.

She said in an interview with UK station Radio 1: “It’s funny because he’s always there for me and we’re always there for each other, but yesterday we had a day off – he had a day off as well because he’s been busy promoting his movie (‘Get Him to the Greek’) – and the game was on yesterday and everybody in England, everywhere, was quiet, no one is on the street. We were watching the game and I was like messing with him saying, ‘Darling I really want to go outside.’ And he was so caught, he was like, ‘But the game, the game…’ But I knew I wasn’t gonna pull him away from that game. So I just took a nap.”

Katy says Russell is so engrossed in the tournament he stays up late most nights on the internet reading about the latest developments with the teams.

She added: “Everything is about football right now. It’s like, when I was with him last night he was up late watching football. And he was online reading all about it and it’s like, ‘How much can you read?’ “

Joe Jackson Linked to Unauthorized MJ Memorial

The Michael Jackson estate and others have been asking … who’s behind an unauthorized MJ memorial set to go down Saturday night at the Beverly Hilton — now, there’s a smoking gun pointed at Joe Jackson.

As we previously reported, the bash is being thrown by a website called VoicePlate.com — but no one could identify the person responsible for pulling the strings. It’s also unclear who convinced Katherine Jackson to record that awkward, scripted promotional video for the tribute.

But now — a clue … and it all has to do with the featured entertainment at the MJ tribute … a band called the Chi-Lites — they had a couple of hits in the ’70s, including “Oh Girl” and “Have You Seen Her.”

If you recall, just days after MJ died … Joe Jackson shamelessly held a news conference to introduce his new business partner, Marshall Thompson … a member of the Chi-Lites.

Think it’s coincidence that the band got a brand new gig … at an MJ event?

Didn’t think so.

Nas Feels the Pain of Home Ownership

It’s tough being a rapper trying to eke out a living with an ex-wife, a kid and an out-of-control mortgage … but Nas may have figured out a way to stay afloat.

TMZ obtained legal docs in which Nas concedes he owes Kelis a skosh less than $300,000 in spousal support. But it seems the most pressing problem is the mortgage for the home Kelis is living in — Nas is behind $52,989.22.

So Nas’ lawyer, Mark Vincent Kaplan, filed a payment plan with the court, in which the rapper agrees to pay $17,500 up front, and then pretty much double the $7,800 mortgage payment each month to catch up.

It’s pretty amazing — Kelis’ lawyer, disso queen Laura Wasser, has claimed Nas raked in $244,826 a month.

According to the docs, the plan is to sell the home stat.

Mariah Carey: I Want That God-Awful MJ Sofa!

Mariah Carey wants Michael Jackson’s living room set in the worst way — and we mean worst.

TMZ has learned Mariah has ordered Kenneth Bordewick, her interior designer, to bid on an ornate living room set owned by Michael at Julien’s Auction, which will be held tomorrow in Vegas.

Michael bought the furniture to fill the London mansion he was supposed to live in during the run of the “This Is It” tour.

According to the auction house, the living room set — which MJ bought for $200,000 — could fetch $1 million.  The open bid — $150,000.  The proceeds — minus commissions — will go to Jackson’s estate.

You gotta believe Mariah will put old lady plastic covers on the furniture, in case Nick has an accident.

The singer is currently working as a judge on Simon Cowell’s pop star search show ‘The X Factor’, and has been introduced by the music mogul by her maiden name Cheryl Tweedy.

Simon joked with the crowd about her name change as Cheryl – who requested a “quickie” divorce from her England soccer player husband Ashley Cole in May – walked into the audition room at yesterday’s heat in London yesterday (23.06.10).

Simon said: “Who would like to hear from Cheryl…Tweedy? It is, now, isn’t it?”

An onlooker said there was a roar of applause for Cheryl as she walked in and the audience all stood up to welcome the ‘Fight for This Love’ singer.

Another member of the audience said: “Cheryl’s face didn’t give much away. Simon was sort of joshing but she didn’t laugh or look annoyed.”

Cheryl, 26, is now going to have laser treatment to remove her “Mrs C” tattoo she has on the back of her neck.

The pop star cited “unreasonable behaviour” as the reason behind the end of their three-and-a-half-year marriage, after numerous women claimed to have slept with Ashley during their relationship.

The Jackson family compound in Encino is gonna be locked down tighter than Fort Knox on the anniversary of Michael Jackson’s death … because we’re told the LAPD is preparing for an onslaught of MJ faithful.

According to the LAPD, there will be 30 to 40 officers — some uniformed, some undercover — patrolling a one block area around the Jackson home on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.

We’re also told other precautions will be taken — including “no parking” signs around the house and a ban on all MJ merch sales in the area … the same rules that will be enforced at Forest Lawn Cemetery.

The LAPD says 3,000 to 4,000 shirts were confiscated last year after Michael died — so you’ve been warned.

Just two months after splitting from her on/off love, New Orleans Saints running back Reggie Bush, the reality TV star has been spotted with a new guy.

Kim, 29, is believed to be dating another NFL football player, Dallas Cowboys wide receiver Miles Austin.

A source told National Enquirer magazine: “It’s not just a revenge relationship. Kim has really fallen for Miles and the feeling is mutual.”

Another source close to the apparent new couple told People: “They met at a restaurant in Los Angeles a few months ago and exchanged numbers and have been talking ever since. They’ve had a few dates and it’s going really well.”

Despite enjoying a string of dates, the pair are not yet officially an item.

The source said: “They’re taking it slow. She thinks he’s a really good guy.”

Family chef Kai Chase has revealed she took the children – Prince Michael, 13, Paris, 12, and Prince Michael II, eight – away from their father’s room as resuscitation attempts were made and formed a prayer circle to ask God to let him live.

She told The Sun newspaper: “It was as if a hammer had smashed the sun in and everything turned black.

“All three children ran to me, crying hysterically. Prince was shouting, ‘Dad, dad, what’s wrong with dad?’ While Paris screamed, ‘Daddy, daddy, daddy,’ over and over.

“I clutched them to my chest and got them to hold hands with me in a circle. Then I said, ‘Pray with me, all pray with me,’ and we prayed aloud, asking God for a miracle.

“We said, ‘Dear God, keep daddy safe, make this OK.’ But I knew – and I think they knew – that he was dead.”

Kai, 40, who has no children of her own, also claims Michael was a very fun and doting dad, and she remembers on Paris’ 11th birthday he threw her a party with a performance by acrobatic troupe Cirque du Soleil.

Referring to the eccentric character from ‘Charlie and the Chocolate Factory’, she said: “Mr. Jackson was an almost Willy Wonka-style father, with his crazy sense of fun.

“He had paid for members of the circus troupe Cirque du Soleil to perform throughout the house and garden. It was magical and one of the security team filmed the whole day.

“I know Paris keeps that tape close to her heart and watches it to remind her of her daddy.”

Meanwhile, Michael’s brother Jermaine claims the ‘Thriller’ star – who died on June 25, 2009, from acute Propofol intoxication – would have lived had he converted to Islam.

He said: “I felt that if Michael would have embraced Islam he would still be here today and I say that for many reasons.

“Why? Because when you are 100 per cent clear in your mind as to who you are and what you are and why you are and everybody around you, then things change in a way that’s better for you. It’s just having that strength. God is so powerful.”

Joan Rivers — Under Attack in Nasty Lawsuit

Joan Rivers is being sued by a bitter ex-manager — who claims he was never compensated for resurrecting Joan’s “dormant career” … but it’s clear this lawsuit is as much about hurt feelings as lost money.

The guy going after Rivers is Billy Sammeth — Joan’s longtime “personal manager” — who claims he “took [Joan's] dormant career” … and found a way to get her more work and more money … only to be stiffed out of $179k and humiliated in a recent documentary about Joan’s life.

In the docs, Sammeth claims he never got his 10% cut from several paydays Joan received — including a $200,000 check Joan received from winning “Celebrity Apprentice.”

Sammeth also claims Joan and the people behind the documentary “Joan Rivers: A Piece of Work” — defamed him by making him appear to be a “disappeared” manager.

Sammeth is suing both Joan and the production company for at least $2.2 million.

Calls to Joan were not returned.

Chuck Liddell Sues — My Image Took a Beating

UFC legend Chuck Liddell is trying to lay the smack down on a clothing company that allegedly sold a bunch of Iceman merchandise without Chuck’s blessing.

In a lawsuit filed today in L.A. County Superior Court, Chuck explains that he allowed a company called  MMA Authentics to use his image on certain clothing items — but ONLY if he pre-approved the designs.

However, according to the docs, Liddell discovered that MMA Authentics was selling several “novelty items” bearing Chuck’s trademarks … without first submitting their “samples or artwork” to Chuck for approval.

In the suit, Chuck doesn’t specify how much cash he wants to beat out of the company — but we’re guessing it ain’t gonna be cheap.

Vet to Mariah Carey — You Owe 30K for Doggy Style

Mariah Carey ran up a $38,000 tab with a veterinarian who claims she cared for MC’s pups 24/7 and even delivered one of ‘em … this according to a lawsuit filed by the vet.

Dr. Cindy Bressler sued Mariah in Manhattan today — and in the suit she says she provided “extraordinary services” for Mariah’s three Jack Russell terriers … Cha-Cha, Dolomite and JJ. Bressler claims she’s only been paid $8,000 of the 38K bill.

Dr. Bressler’s attorney tells TMZ the vet was in charge of grooming and feeding the doggy divas while Mariah was in L.A. promoting “Precious.“  According to the attorney, Bressler also brought tiny Dolomite into this world — delivering the pup last year.

Mariah’s rep hasn’t gotten back to us yet.

Lindsay Lohan: Come Clean on Cocaine Possession

The people suing Lindsay Lohan over the 2007 chase on Pacific Coast Highway want the jury to know Lindsay was under the influence of two different types of cocaine during the wild ride … this according to documents obtained by TMZ.

The lawyer for Tracie Rice wants the judge to tell the jury the following — Lindsay was under the influence of coke during the chase; Sheriff’s deputies found coke in her pants pocket; The coke belonged to Lindsay; Her urine sample found two types of coke.

Rice’s lawyer also says, if the judge is unwilling to tell the jury about Lindsay’s cocaine use, then Lindsay should be prohibited from claiming she did not ingest or possess cocaine on the night in question.

Lohan refused to answer questions about her drug use the night of the chase, asserting her Fifth Amendment privilege against self-incrimination.

Mets Ace Johan Santana Accused of Sexual Battery

TMZ has learned New York Mets star pitcher Johan Santana was accused in a police report of sexual battery that allegedly went down on a Florida golf course … but the case went nowhere.

TMZ obtained a copy of the report filed with the Lee County Sheriff’s Office on October 28, 2009 — one day after the alleged attack in Fort Myers.  In the document, the accuser (referred to only as Jane Doe) claims she and Santana were walking on the golf course when he “began to kiss her and pull up her top, unclasping her bra.”

The report continues: “Johan began to pull at [the accuser's] skirt/skort and attempt [sic] to place his hands into her underwear.” According to the document the alleged victim “told Johan no multiple times but Johan persisted.”

The report gets more graphic, when the accuser claims Santana penetrated her, grabbed and bruised her calf, and “ejaculated on her upper thigh.”

The accuser claims she “cleaned her thigh with her underwear” — and then returned to a tennis court with Santana, and actually watched him play tennis with someone else.

According to the report, a detective collected all of the accuser’s clothing as evidence.

A spokesperson from the Sheriff’s Office tells TMZ Sheriff’s detectives met several times with the prosecutor from the State’s Attorney’s Office to review the case.  Law enforcement sources say DNA evidence did prove there was intercourse, but, according to a Sheriff’s document, the prosecutor concluded, “There was not enough evidence to prove lack of consent, the alleged victim’s statement is not consistent with other witnesses.”  The case was closed out on December 8, 2009.

We contacted Santana’s rep, who said, “Johan denied the charges and was never charged with anything. As far as the law enforcement side of this goes, the case is closed.”

Octomom laid waste to an unsuspecting victim with human baby rockets — that’s correct, Nadya Suleman actually launched flying newborns … from between her legs … at some guy’s face.

Michael Jackson Neverland Creditor’s Claim

TMZ has obtained a new creditor’s claim filed in the Michael Jackson estate case, in which a lending company is asking for $4,580,000 for services connected with the refinancing of Neverland.

Jon Divens, the lawyer for the creditor, tells TMZ … Michael refinanced Neverland in 2007 and got $45,000,000.  The lending company — Genesis Group International – claimed Jackson agreed to pay the Group 10% of the loan amount plus fees, totaling $4,580,000.

Genesis claims it made a demand for payment this year but never got paid.

There’s an interesting history with the guy who owns Genesis — Kevin Kinsey.  In 2008, there were reports that Kinsey had falsely represented himself as a representative of MJJ Productions in an effort to secure funding to get the re-fi.

A source connected with the estate tells TMZ … without commenting on the merits of the claim, Genesis missed the deadline for filing a creditor’s claim.

Lindsay Lohan — Don’t Tell the Jury You’re Poor!

The people suing Lindsay Lohan over her wild ride on Pacific Coast Highway in 2007 want the judge to prohibit Lindsay from telling the jury she’s broke … this according to documents obtained by TMZ.

The attorney for Tracie Rice — the passenger in the car Lindsay was chasing — wants the judge to “exclude all testimony about Lindsay Lohan not having money or currently being poor or in debt.”

We’re told Rice’s lawyer is concerned … a jury might get cheap in awarding damages if they believe Lindsay has no money.

Vienna Stopped Sleeping with Jake on Saturday

Vienna Girardi packed up her stuff and moved out of Jake Pavelka’s home on Saturday — days before the couple officially announced their split … TMZ has learned.

TMZ spoke with Vienna’s stepmom Lisa — who Jake tried to “win over” on “The Bachelor.” Lisa claims that not only was Jake a total fraud … but she insinuates that he was only motivated by ratings and not love.

Lisa claims, “I don’t think [Jake] ever really loved her … I think he picked her because she is a dramatic person and it was good for the ratings.”

Lisa also claims Jake would often exaggerate about his relationship with Vienna in public … saying, “In real life, they never kissed, didn’t have a romantic relationship and he never told her that he loved her.”

As for where Vienna is now living — we’re told she’s at a hotel in L.A.

MZ was at LAX yesterday when Debbie Rowe and Michael Jackson’s former confidante Marc Schaffel boarded an American Airlines flight to Tokyo.

The two are tight, and Schaffel apparently still has strong connections to the Jackson family, even though MJ and Schaffel had a major falling out and ended up suing each other.

Schaffel shot an interview with Katherine recently to promote her book, “Never Can Say Goodbye.”

Rowe was mum at LAX, but Schaffel said he’s been friends with Katherine for a long time.

As for why they’re heading to Tokyo … we’re told Schaffel is releasing a documentary of video he shot while he was working with Jackson. It will play on 200 screens in Tokyo.
