Cheryl Cole is reportedly seeking a gagging order to stop cheating husband Ashley Cole ever speaking about their relationship.

The ‘Fight For This Love’ singer is said to be seeking a quick divorce from soccer star Ashley – who has been exposed as a serial love cheat – and among her list of demands is an order banning him from making any contact with her, including by phone or text message, for six months after their split is finalised.

Other demands in a letter from Cheryl’s lawyer include Ashley agreeing immediately to a divorce, a lifetime gagging order which bans him from ever talking about their relationship in the future, and agreeing to let Cheryl keep their £6 million mansion by buying out his half of it.

The singer does not, however, want any of Ashley’s estimated £10 million fortune. A source told the Sunday Mirror newspaper: “Cheryl does not want a single thing from Ashley except his signature on the divorce agreement. She just wants him to leave her alone, accept it is over and for them both to move on.”

The letter sent by Cheryl is a ‘Heads of Agreement’, the first stage of a process to reach an out-of-court settlement on the end to their marriage. As a show of goodwill toward Ashley, 29, Cheryl, 26, is reportedly not citing ‘adultery’ as the reason for the divorce, instead opting for ‘irreconcilable differences’.

If Ashley agrees to the demands, it is thought their split could be made official by the end of the summer. Divorce lawyer Mark Stephens said: “Despite the large sums of money involved in a high-profile divorce like this, it will be relatively straightforward if he agrees to the demands. There are no children involved, so this could all be done and dusted very quickly.”

Ricky Gervais is “stressful” to work with.

The British funnyman’s writing partner Stephen Marchant admits that every time they begin work on a new venture, he insists they will never collaborate again because it is just so taxing.

He explained: “I always find filming quite stressful, partly because of the time constraints and partly because of working with Ricky. Every time we finish a project I say I’m never working with you again, I openly say it to him.

“We just sit around and talk endlessly. We use a dictophone now to ad-lib the scene and act it into the dictophone. That way you’re not constrained by thinking what’s the beginning, middle and end because that is what is daunting. We put post-it notes on the wall like ‘Brent does funny dance’ and build ideas around it. In that case Ricky actually did that dance.”

Stephen also explained how Ricky’s infamous dance – performed by his ‘Office’ character David Brent – was inspired by several pop bands.
He told Absolute Radio DJ Christian O’Connell: “Ricky was mucking around showing me how he imagined boy bands like Backstreet Boys to dance and I thought it was the funniest thing I had ever seen.”

The 25-year-old actress – who plays sexy Russian spy Black Widow in the superhero movie – admitted she actively campaigned for the role after actress Emily Blunt dropped out because of scheduling conflicts.

She said: “I was a huge fan of the first movie and was quite ‘geek-ed’ out at being part of the second one. I just wanted to be a part of ‘Iron Man’ so I really researched the comic books and came in with some ideas of my own about how to develop the character. I see her as being determined and ambitious.”

Scarlett was anxious to get the part because she was keen to “kick *ss” alongside her co-stars Gwyneth Paltrow, Samuel L. Jackson and Robert Downey Jr.

She said: “I love everything about this character. She’s a total bada*s. I love every detail from her fabulous outfit to the wonderful hair. I mean, there’s nothing not to like about the character. She’s very bad and I think it’s rare that we get to see these sort of super heroines bought to the screen, where they’re really kicking some major a*s, which she does.”

Rihanna wants to collaborate with La Roux.

The ‘Umbrella’ hitmaker – who was assaulted by then-boyfriend Chris Brown last February – was keen to record a track with the duo’s singer Elly Jackson, but the British star admits she is still waiting to be approached.

Elly said: “I’ve had three or four offers for collaborations in America. Big, big artists. Rihanna was very interested for a time. “That was weird. My A and R man said, ‘Rihanna’s going to call’ but that was the last I heard of it. She didn’t call! It was around the time of er, troubles in her life.”

Despite never receiving the offer, Elly – who is joined in La Roux by producer Ben Langmaid – admits she would never have accepted it anyway. She added: “To be honest, do I really want to work with Rihanna? Not really. I’m more interested in what the phone call would be like.”

While the ‘In For The Kill’ singer is reluctant to work with Rihanna, she does have other collaborations lined up. She added: “I’ve just spoken to Giggs, the rapper, and I’m hopefully doing a track with him and Liam Howlett from The Prodigy. Liam’s made a beat and me and Giggs are going to cover it.”

Ringo Starr defends Lennon lyric

Ringo Starr has defended referencing his late bandmate John Lennon in a new song, insisting it was a “normal” thing to do.

Ringo Starr thinks it would be “weird” if anyone else wrote a song referencing John Lennon. The former Beatles drummer insists his new track ‘Peace Dream’ – which features the lyrics ‘Can you imagine this coming true/ It’s really up to all of us to do/ Just like John Lennon said/ In Amsterdam from his bed’ – is a fitting tribute to his former bandmate, who was murdered in 1980.

He said: “For me to write that was a normal thing to do. I knew the man. And I really believe that if anyone else had written it, it would’ve been weird.

“I was around when he did all those bed-ins calling for peace. Everybody thinks that the big thing was in Canada, but actually the first one was in Amsterdam.

“I also wrote a song for George Harrison, ‘Never Without You’ in 2003, so it’s just part of it for me, they’re been my friends for so long.”

Ringo is joined on the track by former Beatles star Paul McCartney and the musician admits he was delighted his former bandmate agreed to be involved. He added: “Paul came to my house with his bass, which was a good sign. Then I played him ‘Peace Dream’, and he said, ‘Sure, I’ll play on it.’ It had the John Lennon line so it was natural.”

The Spanish actor – who married the ‘Working Girl’ actress in 1996, shortly after the breakdown of her marriage to Don Johnson and his divorce from Ana Leza the year before – has admitted his life changed dramatically from the moment he first laid eyes on his future spouse.

He said: “I was lucky from the very beginning, from the day we met. At the time we were having problems with our respective partners, and those relationships were pretty much over. We were both in very similar situations.

“She’s very funny. That’s one of those things that I’ve always loved about her, together with her generosity. I couldn’t be with someone who is depressed all the time. She helps me get past problems, including the most serious problems that we’ve had, and she’s had. We’ve got nothing to hide.”

Although the couple’s relationship hasn’t always run smoothly, they have never considered splitting up. Discussing whether they had ever talked about divorcing, Antonio, 49, said: “No, no. in 15 years, we’ve never discussed that. We’ve had rough times like anyone has, and we’ve had fights. Were a normal couple with ups and downs, but we’ve never gotten to that point. Never. I’m happy with Melanie.

“There’s no specific secret, but I guess it’s about paying attention to the little things. The details. Like getting up in the morning and embracing seeing her without makeup by saying, ‘This is part of the relationship.’ That type of really small thing. In constantly rediscovering your partner, knowing there’s a way out of any crisis.”

The ‘Agora’ star – who studied English at the prestigious Cambridge University – admits one of her favourite things about her profession is the research she carries out into her characters.

She said: “I liked acting because I love to ask people questions.

“I like knowing about people and trying to imagine myself in other people’s shoes and other people’s skins. I do that all the time.”

Rachel, 40, also spoke about her marriage to ‘The Wrestler’ director Darren Aronofsky – with who she has three-year-old son Henry – insisting the 41-year-old filmmaker is nothing like people expect from the subject matter of his movies.

She explained: “Seeing his films, you’d think he is this weird, dark, intense guy. But I don’t live with a dark person. He’s really good at life, very good at going to the park and having a good time.

“He’s also very organised. He doesn’t live in chaos. His parents are teachers and they have an easy sense of order and discipline.”

Lindsay Lohan was axed from a movie because she’s not “bankable” — this according a source connected with the production of the flick.

Lindsay was slated to star in “The Other Side,” a movie about a grad student working on a deserted island.

David Michaels, the writer/director, tells TMZ, “Our team simply chose to move on from Lindsay and we’ll soon be announcing a replacement.”

But sources connected with the film tell us the people financing the film were skittish about relying on Lindsay.

The movie also stars Woody Harrelson, Giovanni Ribisi, Dave Matthews and Alanis Morissette.

And there’s this twist … at one point Brittany Murphy was attached to the movie.

Lindsay’s rep had no comment.
