The ‘The Twilight Saga: New Moon’ heartthrob is said to be so keen to dispel rumours he has bad personal hygiene, he damaged one of his gnashers by cleaning them so thoroughly.

His co-star for the next film in the ‘Twilight’ franchise, ‘Eclipse’, Bryce Dallas Howard, said he confessed to her.

She said: “He was like, ‘Oh, I have to go to the dentist.’ And I was like, ‘Oh no, what happened? Just a check-up?’ And he was like, ‘No, I chipped a tooth.’

“I was like, ‘How?’ And he was like, ‘Flossing.’ Who does that? I don’t even floss. So he’s hygienic. Trust me.”

Last year rumours spread from the set of ‘Twilight Saga: New Moon’ that British actor Robert doesn’t wash often enough.

A source said: “He stinks. I mean, it’s awful. He never showers, and it drives people on the set crazy. He completely reeks.”

While Bryce dispelled such rumours, she added she was daunted by meeting the 23-year-old actor, who portrays vampire Edward Cullen in the ‘Twilight’ franchise, but he helped her overcome her fears.

She added to New York magazine: “I actually came out to him that I was totally nervous about meeting him. He’s such a sweet young man, and there’s such a distinctive difference between him and Edward Cullen.

“He does such a wonderful job embodying that character, and bringing that character to life. But when you meet him, he’s such a down-to-earth, humble person, you feel bad freaking out around him.”

The Stereophonics frontman has revealed the 22-year-old Scottish star’s second LP ‘Sunny Side Up’ was his favourite record of the past 12 months and he regularly played it at his home.

He said: “In a world of auto-tuned singles ‘Pencil Full of Lead’ is summer. Paolo is a great singer, with Sam Cooke and Otis Reading influences. A great album to have on around the house.”

While he believes the ‘New Shoes’ hitmaker created the best album of the year, Kelly struggled to convince his bandmates their latest LP ‘Keep Calm and Carry On’ was any good after deciding to write the tracks alone with the help of a producer.

He explained: “In many ways it was an uncomfortable process. People had to sit back and listen rather than say, ‘Let’s get on with it.’ ”

The ‘Fighting’ actor – who married long-term girlfriend Jenna Dewan earlier this year – is interested to see if his fame has an impact on how attractive he is to the opposite sex.

He said: “I want to do a documentary where I go and find people and say, ‘Oh have you seen my movies? Do you want to have sex?’ And see how many people I could get to say yes. Just to see what fame would do, would it make you more available for sex.”

The former model insists he doesn’t care about being praised for his appearance – labelling ‘Most Beautiful’ polls “unbelievable bulls**t” and says his friends regularly mock his hunk status.

He added: “It’s weird because all my friends make fun of me. It’s not like I wake up everyday like, ‘Oh my, look at that.’ ”

The Black Crowes frontman Chris Robinson and wife Allison Bridges welcomed a baby girl on Saturday (26.12.09) and both mother and daughter are doing well.

The baby – who was born at the couple’s Californian home – has been named Cheyenne Genevieve and weighed in at 6lbs 3oz.

Chris’ representative said: “Chris Robinson and his new wife, Allison, have a healthy and beautiful baby girl. Cheyenne Genevieve Robinson, 6lbs 3oz was born on December 26 2009 at the Robinsons’ home in California.”

Chris, 43, already has a five-year-old son, Ryder Russell, from his marriage to Kate.

In 2006, the couple divorced after six years of marriage and the following year, Chris started dating Allison.

Chris has spent the past year touring to support the Black Crowes’ latest album, ‘Before the Frost … Until the Freeze’ and he now intends to spend some time at home with his wife and daughter before the band start a new project and tour in 2010.

The music mogul – who earned an estimated $75 million last year – is a big fan of animated show ‘The Simpsons’ but admits he is jealous of its worldwide success.

He said: “Their appeal is broad and it makes a lot of money. You kind of hate them for making so much money. It makes me physically sick knowing how much money they have made over the years.

“Maybe I should start a cartoon one day.”

Simon, 50, has previously made cameo appearances on the show – but admits he only took part to preserve his youth.

He explained on TV show ‘The Simpsons: Celebrity Friends’: “It’s the best thing to get the call. You last forever and are young forever on that show, so I love it.

“The only reason for doing it is to look good and stay young forever.”

The ‘American Idol’ and ‘Britain’s Got Talent’ star recently signed up to make another appearance on the cartoon, despite admitting his last appearance didn’t go well.

He said: “They obviously hated me as I had to do it over and over again.

“I could actually feel the rolling of eyeballs. It was like, ‘After take 57 Simon could we have a little bit more reality?’ It was painful.”

The ‘Two and a Half Men’ actor – who was arrested on Christmas Day (25.12.09) after reportedly assaulting his spouse with a knife – has told friends he feels “awful” about his actions but knows it wouldn’t have happened if he had stayed away from alcohol.

One revealed: “Charlie feels awful. He let himself down by drinking … And he wants to be with his kids.”

Despite the alleged attack, Charlie is determined to make his third marriage last for the sake of the couple’s nine-month-old twin sons Bob and Max.

The friend added: “Charlie has two little boys and he does not want to get divorced again.”

Charlie, 44, and 32-year-old Brooke are said to be having marriage counselling in bid to save their 19-month union.

A source said: “Brooke and Charlie still love each other, but they are very different.

“For the good of the children they definitely want to see if counselling will help before anything further is decided.”

Charlie was arrested for second-degree assault, menacing and criminal mischief while the pair were holidaying with family in Aspen for Christmas.

Details of the telephone call made by Brooke to the police were revealed on Tuesday (29.12.09).

She said: “My husband had me with a knife and I’m scared for my life, and he threatened me. I thought I was going to die.”

She paused when asked his name, before confirming: “It’s Charlie Sheen.”

The couple can often be found wearing items from each other’s wardrobe, with Ozzy particularly keen on donning Sharon’s jackets.

A source said: “They wear each other’s clothes all the time.

“Ozzy gets so confused about which clothes are whose, he ends up just putting on the first thing he grabs. He’s always wearing Sharon’s jackets.”

The pair find the arrangement “convenient” as it means they never run out of clean clothes.

Ozzy is not the only member of the Osbourne clan to take a shine to Sharon’s wardrobe.

The couple’s 25-year-old daughter Kelly recently revealed she loves nothing better than rooting through her mother’s garments as she has such good dress sense.

The 44-year-old actress – who has son James Wilkie, seven, and six-month-old twin daughters Marion Loretta and Tabitha Hodge with Matthew -has had an eventful year.

As well as filming the second ‘Sex and the City’ movie, she and Matthew welcomed their new twin daughters through a surrogate mother into the world on June 22.

Sarah loves all aspects of being a mother – especially the less glamorous jobs.

She said recently: “I love the smell of diapers – I even like when they’re wet and you smell them all warm liked a baked good. I love the smell of Balmex. Love it.”
