The ‘Milkshake’ singer is now a certified saucier after taking a course at renowned London culinary school Le Cordon Bleu and she wants to share her taste bud-tickling skills with the world.

She said: “I want to have my own sauce line. I became a saucier in school.

“I love the lifestyle of a great meal. I think food, fashion and music all go together when it’s done right.

“I also want to get my sommelier certification, which I’m going to do eventually. I love the whole thing. I want to go back to school, too.”

Kelis – who has a five-month-old son, Knight, with ex-husband Nas – sought comfort in the food course after becoming disillusioned with the music business after she was dropped by her record label in 2007.

The 30-year-old star – who is now signed to will.i.am Music Group/Interscope – added in an interview with the Idolater website: “I took some time off. I really just shut down, even to the point where I was like, I don’t want to sing anymore. I went to culinary school and just regrouped and got my heart back for music.”

According to court documents, guardianship of Frances Bean Cobain, 17, has been awarded to Wendy O’Connor and Kimberly Dawn Cobain, the respective mother and sister of Frances’ late Nirvana frontman father Kurt Cobain.

The temporary guardianship of 17-year-old Frances was awarded on Friday (11.12.09), and although no reasons for the decision have been released, the change in custody arrangements follows a turbulent period in Courtney’s personal life.

In August, she was pictured looking gaunt and thin, sparking speculation she was using drugs again.

A lawyer for Wendy and Kimberly would only say the change was a “private family matter.”

Courtney’s lawyer Keith Fink – who was not present in court for the hearing – said: “All I can tell you as Courtney’s friend is she loves her daughter more than anything in the world.

“Courtney will no doubt do what is best for Frances and will surely take her teenage daughter’s desires and feelings into consideration with respect to the legal guardian issue.”

Although the guardianship is for both Frances’ personally and her financial well-being, her grandmother and aunt do not have power over the trust established after Kurt’s death.

Courtney, 45, previously lost custody of Frances to Wendy in 2003 after she took an overdose and was subsequently arrested on drug related charges. She won back custody of Frances in 2005 after a lengthy court battle.

A hearing to appoint a general guardian for the teenager is pending.

The actor brushed off reports he has reconciled with ex-girlfriend Sienna Miller by insisting he only has eyes for his ‘Sherlock Holmes’ co-star.

Speaking at the ‘Sherlock Holmes’ premiere in London’s Leicester Square last night (14.12.09), Jude pointed at Robert and said: “The only person I’m in love with is sitting on my left. I am here on a night out with the boys.

“The flirting started the minute we met. It was based on mutual respect and admiration.”

Meanwhile, director Guy Ritchie spoke about why he chose to cast Jude, who plays the role of sidekick Watson to Downey Jr’s Holmes.

He said: “We’ve coined the phrase Hotson. I wanted a good-looking Watson.”

Despite his pin-up status on set, Guy insisted that Jude was a calming influence on him and Robert.

He said: “He was the father to two wayward sons.”

The ‘Bleeding Love’ singer – who was punched in the face by Peter Kowalczyk as she signed copies of her autobiography ‘Dreams’ on October 14 – was left “devastated” by the attack and fears she will be assaulted again.

In a witness statement read out in a London court yesterday (14.12.09): “Now I’m very frightened about going out in public.

“I don’t know where the next attack will come from and if this will be more serious than what has happened.”

The 24-year-old songstress suffered swelling to her face and whiplash after the 29-year-old man with mental health problems attacked her at the Waterstone’s book store in Piccadilly, Central London.

Kowalczyk was in the City of Westminster Magistrates’ Court in London yesterday where he admitted assault and was sentenced by judges.

After telling the courtroom he hadn’t taken his medication prior to the attack, magistrates ordered Kowalczyk to stay in hospital under the Mental Health Act – where he will remain indefinitely.

District Judge Howard Riddle told him: “This is what happens when you don’t take your medication. A woman is now devastated.”

According to his father Tomasz, the man was a fan of British reality TV show ‘The X Factor’ – which Leona won in 2006 – and was jealous of her success.

He said: “He wants to be a singer and went to ‘X Factor’ auditions. How far did he get with it? Nowhere.”

The comedy drama – in which Clooney stars as Ryan Bingham, a corporate downsizer who travels the country delivering bad news – is up for six awards, including Best Motion Picture, Best Actor for Clooney and Best Director for Jason Reitman.

Reitman said: “I can’t put into words how exciting it is to feel and to know that I’ll be going to the Golden Globes with everyone I worked with on this film.

“This was one of those ensembles that we really enjoyed working together. We’re a tight-knit family. The idea that we’re going together is just wonderful.”

Commenting on his nomination, Morgan – who was nominated for his performance in ‘Invictus’ – said: “I suspect we will do a little bit of celebration, not a whole lot, you know. But it’s wonderful.”

Meryl Streep has been nominated twice in the Best Actress in a Comedy or Musical category for her roles in ‘It’s Complicated’ and ‘Julie and Julia’.

The ceremony will be held in Los Angeles on January 17 and will be hosted by Ricky Gervais.

The supermodel has put down a deposit on a £20 million apartment in the French capital and is planning to move there in the spring with her daughter Lila.

A source said: “Kate has told model agency bosses she wants to be at the heart of the fashion world.

“After 34 years in London, Kate feels its time for a break – and cannot wait to immerse herself in the Parisian way of life.”

The apartment’s reception room has views of the Eiffel tower, and is close to Paris’ main Chanel store.

At first Kate, 35, will be using the property as a weekend getaway but she could relocate their full-time once she feels comfortable in the city.

Despite her French excursion, the catwalk beauty – who is in a relationship with Kills rocker Jamie Hince – will keep a property in London as well as her Cotswolds home.

The source added to the Daily Mirror newspaper: “Jamie has also been invited but will keep his place in the UK. Similarly, Kate will of course keep a base in London, in addition to her Cotswolds home – she doesn’t want to lose touch with her roots.”

A source said: “Liam is fed up with people thinking Noel was the brains behind the group.

Since the two rock ‘n’ roll siblings had a huge bust-up in August and split, both have promised to continue making music.

Noel, 42, is embarking on his long promised solo record and 37-year-old Liam collaborating with ex-Oasis members guitarist Gem Archer, bassist Andy Bell and drummer Chris Sharrock.

The ‘Songbird’ singer has also vowed to use his old group’s moniker if he doesn’t think of anything better.

Liam said: “It’s me and Gem and Andy, we’ve got a new bass player who is mega, we’ve got the old drummer, Chris, who’s amazing, the old keyboard player.

“We’ve gone through a few names but nothing’s sticking so we’ve drawn a line under that for the moment but obviously people will go, ‘Oh they’re still Oasis.’ Life’s too short to worry about that s**t but I’m always going to be remembered as Liam from Oasis but we’ll see what happens when the record’s done.”

Tom said n a radio interview: “We thought we had a name picked for about six months and then, about two days before he was born, Gisele said, ‘I don’t like that name any more.’ So, it was kind of back to the drawing board. I tell you, we’ve got about seven or eight choices. But I’ve been practicing I’ve got to be home for more than two hours to sit down so we can talk about it.”

Brazilian model Gisele previously dated Leonardo DiCaprio and surfer Kelly Slater before getting together with Tom in 2006. The pair married in February 2009.

Although Tom knew the sex of the child, Gisele chose not to find out before the birth.

“Dumping him on TV was such a humiliating thing but he has the hide of a rhino and Katie seems smitten with him.

“Taking him to ‘The X Factor’ for their first public date proves it.”

In October, it was reported Renee was going to be introduced to Bradley’s parents so he could get their approval.
