Music producer David Gest – a close friend of the late ‘Beat It’ singer – is demanding damages from Julien’s Auction House for attaching ‘from the collection of David Gest’ to items they sold shortly after the pop icon’s death in June and has enlisted the star’s sibling to boost his case.

David claims he never owned many of the auctioned goods – including a Platinum RIAA Record Award for the album ‘Thriller’ – and that he never gave the auction house permission to use his name.

Speaking in support of David, Tito said: “I am amazed an auction house like Julien’s Auctions would use David Gest’s name to sell an item that was not his.

“There are a number of the items that they listed in their Michael Jackson catalogue on June 26th and 27th that never even belonged to David Gest.

“I will also testify in court that this RIAA Award Disc for Thriller Presented to Steve Manning never belonged to David Gest”.

Lots at the auction included a signed Jackson 5 album, which was expected to fetch up to $600 at the auction, but sold for $33,750, and a childhood painting done by Michael of Mickey Mouse and Pluto, which sold for $25,000, 25 times more than expected.

David said: “So much for the statement by Julien’s Auctions’ lawyer that they are ‘good honest folks’.

“I’m sure this will open the door for many others to question items they have sold.”

Steve Manning, a former publicist for the Jackson 5, has also pledged to give evidence if the case comes to court.

Julien’s Auctions’ denies any wrongdoing and Darren Julien, who runs the auction house, has filed a federal lawsuit to ask the judge to see through David’s legal action.

Gavin, 42, revealed: “At the last benefit we were at, he wanted to get on stage with me and sing.

“I told him we can, but we have to practice a bit first.”

Gavin added Kingston particularly loves the drums and always wants to help out in sound checks.

He told gossip website Popeater: “He always wants to come now. During the show, he loves to be on stage on the side. But he loves to play the drums during the sound checks and play with my guitar pedals. He likes to check the mic.”

Kingston and his brother, 14-month-old Zuma, often go on tour with Gavin and with Gwen’s band No Doubt, and Gwen said she valued the quality time with her children.

However, Howard Donald says the group perform better as a unit now as Gary Barlow is no longer the sole songwriter.

He explained in the ‘Take That Presents: The Circus Live’ DVD: “We’ve got a much bigger friendship now that we ever did.

“Gary used to write everything at such a rate we were always catching up.”

Mark – who had two top 10 singles in the UK chart after the band split in 1996 – admits his own input in the band would be better if he could remember his dreams.

He explained: “I write great songs in my sleep. I sing lyrics into my phone.

The ‘Bodies’ singer has criticised the ‘Live Forever’ hitmakers – who split this summer after relations between bandmates and brothers Liam and Noel Gallagher became unmanageable – for only releasing one good single in over a decade.

He said: “To be honest, I know there’s history between us and this isn’t very complimentary, but they’ve been doing a lap of honour for the past 13 years. There’s been the occasional gem here and there. ‘The Importance of Being Idle’, and well, that’s about it.”

The 35-year-old singer has also admitted he thinks his former friends are too “stubborn” to ever reunite.

The ‘Bleeding Love’ singer was left badly bruised after being punched in the face by a mentally imbalanced devotee, who had queued for hours to meet her at a London book signing two weeks ago.

Speaking about the incident for the first time, Leona – who rose to fame after winning the 2006 series of British TV talent show ‘The X Factor’ – said the incident was an unfortunate side effect of her success.

She said: “It could have been worse. I’m still alive.

“It is just something you have to deal with when you have fame – and the positives far outweigh the negatives.

“I don’t like to dwell on the negatives. I’m a very positive person.”

Following the attack Peter Kowalczyk, 29 – himself a former contestant from ‘The X Factor’ – was detained by Leona’s security team and charged with the assault.

Peter was then sectioned under the Mental Health Act, and deemed unfit to appear at a hearing at a London court on Monday (26.10.09).

Leona – who cancelled a promotional tour of Germany following the attack -  also said she’s not going to go over the top and hire more security to protect her, as she already has enough people “looking out” for her.

Leona also said she believes she would have made it as a singer, even if she hadn’t entered ‘The X Factor’.

She added to Sky News: “I was singing and performing for quite a time, and yes, I think I would have made it.”

Leona will play a homecoming show in her home district of Hackney in London next week.

The ‘Easy Rider’ actor has now cancelled all his travel plans as he focuses on getting treatment through a “special programme” at the University of Southern California.

His manager Sam Maydew added: “We’re hoping for the best.”

The 73-year-old star had to cancel an appearance at Melbourne’s Australian Centre for the Moving Image, where a collection of his artwork and photography – ‘Dennis Hopper and the New Hollywood’ – is being shown.

Last month, Dennis was released from a New York hospital after being treated for dehydration.

It was initially reported the 73-year-old star was suffering from flu-like symptoms, but further details of his illness were not been released.

Dennis fell ill in New York while promoting his new TV series ‘Crash’, which is based on the 2004 Oscar-winning movie about racial and social tensions in Los Angeles of the same name. He plays music producer Ben Cendars.

The 42-year-old star – who has previously released duets with her ‘Moulin Rouge!’ co-star Ewan McGregor and British singer Robbie Williams – insists she hates performing in front of people and had to be persuaded to sing in new musical movie ‘Nine’.

She said: “I was terrified of it. I am not a natural singer in the sense that I don’t love getting up in front of a group of people and just belting out a tune. It needs to be coaxed out of me because I want my voice to tell a story and sometimes it doesn’t have the capacity to do that.”

The actress felt particularly pressured because director Rob Marshall had told her he envisaged her appearing as a “goddess” in the movie.

She told Empire magazine: “When Rob approached me, he told me a role had been written especially. He told me he wanted her to look like a goddess and I was a little overwhelmed by that.”

While Nicole was eventually persuaded to record her vocals, she has previously vowed never to sing with her husband, country music star Keith Urban.

The ‘Shooter’ actor has revealed the sex of his fourth child with Rhea Durham, which is due next year.

The 38-year-old star said: “I’m having another girl. So I’ll have two girls and two boys.”

Mark and Rhea – who already have three children together, Ella, six, Michael, three and 13-month-old Brendan Joseph – are eagerly awaiting the latest addition to their family, but Mark is hoping it will be their last.

He explained: “I’m the youngest of nine, and my dad has a few others. No, four is enough. We were all raised with a lot of love. But we didn’t get the kind of attention I think that we all needed.

“My parents had to provide to put food on the table. My mission in life is to raise my kids right. With all the success I’ve had in the world, if I fail at that, my life means nothing.”

Sources on the set claim the pair couldn’t keep their hands off each other during the shoot, running to her nearby hotel room as soon as the photographer said he was finished.

An insider told X17Online: “Lindsay was all over Petey during the sexy photo shoot, and it continued when the shoot ended. They headed into a room at the Chateau for two hours and Lindsay couldn’t keep her hands off of him – and vice versa!”

Papers filed in Shelby County Chancery Court in Tennessee by David allege ‘The Collection of David Gest’ was used to describe items he had never owned and claim no discussions ever took place to give the auction house permission to use his name.

Lots included a signed Jackson 5 album, which was expected to fetch up to $600 at the auction, but sold for $33,750, and a childhood painting done by Michael of Mickey Mouse and Pluto, which sold for $25,000, 25 times more than expected.

David said: “Julien’s Auctions deceived buyers by letting them believe I owned many of these items when I did not. Every individual who purchased items I never owned was falsely duped into thinking they were part of my collection. Each individual who bought an item I never owned needs to be notified of that fact. This is an act of fraud and I will prove that in court. Julien’s Auctions was notified of their wrongdoing by my lawyer Edward Bearman months ago and they did nothing to rectify their actions.”

Darren Julien, who runs the auction house, has filed a federal lawsuit to ask the judge to see through David’s legal action.

In his filing, Darren insists he would never have used the name of the producer – who was previously married to Liza Minnelli – without good reason as potential buyers would not be impressed by a man who “reportedly sued his wealthy ex-wife for $10 million”.

Jerry Hawxhurst, the lawyer acting on behalf of the auctioneers, blasted David’s action.

He said: “A complaint like the one that was filed is what happens when people make ridiculous claims against good, honest folks like Darren Julien and his company, Julien’s Auctions. Gest should be ashamed of himself for trying to trade on Michael Jackson’s memory.”

Chastity Bono – the 40-year-old daughter of the ‘Believe’ singer and her late husband Sonny who is now living as a man called Chaz – never felt comfortable being a female and knew the time was right to have a sex change.

Chaz said: “It wasn’t a sudden decision. I’ve been doing therapy for a long time. It’s a long process going back almost a decade. I got clean and sober in 2004 and I couldn’t have done this before that.

“I always felt like the male from the time I was a child. There wasn’t much feminine about me. I believe that gender is something between your ears not between your legs. That is something I discovered in the early 90s. It was just a long process of being comfortable enough to do something about it. I was turning 40 and I thought it’s now or never.”

Chaz began the process in March by taking male hormone pills but the complete change will take some time to progress.

Chaz revealed on US TV show ‘Entertainment Tonight’: “I will be changing for about four to five years in total but I’ll be on testosterone for the rest of my life. The nice thing about this process is it is slow. I am literally going through puberty.”

However, Chaz wouldn’t reveal what surgery she would be having, saying: “That’s a personal decision and I don’t really feel comfortable talking about anything below the waist.”

The Australian singer says she was forced to strip off for the men’s magazine because she owed £150,000 and was too proud to ask her pop star sister Kylie to help her financially.

She said: “Kylie knew why I was doing it. I could have asked her for the money, but it wasn’t in my nature.

“I never wanted to admit the trouble I was in. I should have been looking at my finances.”

Dannii appeared on the cover of Playboy in October 1995. The magazine sold out in less than four days and became one of the best-selling Australian editions.

A source close to Andrew told Ireland’s Daily Mirror newspaper: “It really is panic stations. They can’t locate Stephen’s will anywhere. Nobody from the firm has got in touch with him to say they have it. Everything is up in the air now.”

Meanwhile, Westlife star Mark Feehily – whose group is also managed by Boyzone manager Louis Walsh – has spoken about his regret at not seeing Stephen in the months leading up to his death.

Mark, 29, told BANG Showbiz: “We’ve seen Boyzone umpteen times over the last few years and we’ve supported them. But the last time I saw Stephen was about a year ago when we were on a TV show together. It’s such a tragedy.”

The ‘Lost Boys’ actor insists he doesn’t want to split from his wife of seven years, Susannah, after she filed papers last week.

His representative said: “Corey is deeply hurt and saddened by this unexpected change in their relationship, and has done nothing to contribute to the demise of the marriage.

“He is hopeful that he and Susie can work to resolve this quickly and amicably, and he is fully committed to doing what is best for the welfare of their son.”

Susannah cited “irreconcilable differences” in the papers filed in Los Angeles Superior Court on October 22.

She has requested legal and physical custody of their five-year-old son Zen, with Corey paying spousal and child support, while having visitation rights.

Corey and Susannah married in 2002 – nine months after meeting in a nightclub – on the final episode of reality show ‘The Surreal Life’.

In 2007, Corey revealed how Susannah and his son had helped him overcome his depression and drug abuse problem.

He said: “Six years together and we’re still in love. Whereas I used to get depressed or neurotic or dwell on things, I see my son’s bright eyes and smile in the morning, and suddenly, I don’t feel like I’m depressed anymore. There’s nothing to be depressed about when you’ve got that.”

The ‘Paparazzi’ singer is preparing to release a deluxe version of her new album ‘The Fame Monster’ as a special-edition art book next month with a number of bizarre gifts, including a piece of her blonde hair, a personal note from the songstress and a jigsaw puzzle.

The collector’s sets will also be filled with pictorials, posters, fanzines, paper dolls, 3D glasses and a behind-the-scenes look at her bizarre life.

As well as all the hits from the 2008 LP ‘The Fame’, the updated album will feature eight new tracks, including ‘Telephone’ – a duet with Beyonce Knowles.

Gaga is currently rehearsing hard for ‘The Monster Ball Tour’, which will coincide with the updated LP.

She explained: “I’ve been training for two hours a day to get ready for this. I sing on the treadmill! I do cardio and weights on top of my rehearsals. I want to get my whole body in prime condition so I can carry the show.”

The singer – who is known for her outrageous fashion choices and party lifestyle – also admitted she has tried hard to look “interesting” while allowing her to grow in self confidence.

She explained to Canada’s Flare magazine: “Fashion saved my life. It was complete liberation… it made me feel powerful, ambitious and much more resilient.

“We all need an image that screams, ‘I’m an individual!’ I think Jennifer Aniston is beautiful – she’s gorgeous – but I prefer to look interesting rather than pretty.”

‘The Fame Monster’ is due for release in the US on November 24.
